My wife is a legal secretary.
Not happy she can't go to the office, she has to work at home and she hates it.
Also not too happy she can't get her nails done until this stuff is over..

I'm telecommunications as well. My company actually services your local airport. Wonder if we're with the same outfit?

I’m the administrator of a skilled nursing facility. Right now the focus is on maintaining the unprecedented restricted entry of our facilities, and working to find supplies to help us face the anticipated surges from hospitals as they become overwhelmed, in addition to keeping our patients safe and connected to their families any way we can. Let’s hope the stay-at-home orders are followed and are effective. Stay healthy!

Why as of March 19 the covid19 is no longer considered an HCID in the UK? There is much more this this than the virus. Financial collapse was happening before even the first cough. I think 5G also has a big part in this.

Also means more people to spread the virus around faster. Im and Electrican and so far companies are calling us essential but most of our job sites are new commercial construction which are not essential. I chose to take a layoff yesterday to stay home and help this tough situation get past us faster. Being in Seattle right now it's pretty scary to see our hospitals filling up so fast. I just hope that this thing peaks real soon so we can safely go back to work.

I agree, we do DOD work but there is no way if we stopped it's going to weaken the countries defenses, it is all money driven. The other side is with a small company like ours if we were to shut down, no stimulus package will bring it back.

Local Government employee for the City, they have sent some of the non essential people home but for the most part we are up and running. I'm glad for it, I would rather be working and getting a paycheck. At some point people are going to have to get back on the tracks, practice safe guidelines and healthy habits and get the country moving forward again. Be safe everyone!

I’m still working for now but I don’t know for how long. A lot of guys I know are getting calls this week cancelling big state/municipality projects they bid on that were supposed to start in the next 2 weeks. One company had 30 employees ready to show up this Monday to start a 5 month project and the owner was called yesterday saying it was put off indefinitely. So all hiring and the prepping of trucks, excavators, dozers, etc. is done.. he paid for it. A LOT of money went out and now, in spite of a state contract that had a NYS RFP process and all and was approved, it might not happen. I’m not going to get political, but 3-4 more weeks of “wait and see” is going to push smaller companies to the verge of bankruptcy and a whole lot of people to the unemployment lines. I don’t know the answer, but I know this is getting very real for small businesses VERY quickly. My own included.

No not yet they are prepping for it tho. They split our whole maintenance dept up and we are working the operations shift for now. We get scanned for fever at the front gate anyone has a fever you are sent home. Also been asked by management to stay home if for any reason you feel any kind of sickness and they will pay you up to 30 days.

We are doing the same thing. Already have mancamp trailers set up for living quarters, food trucks, laundry services, etc.

Colorado was put on shelter in place orders today.

We are planning for the long haul.

    Logistics......have 30 inbound 53’ trailers of Covid-Gold we’re working on right now.

    AKA: TP
    :D

Trucks of bleach are inbound as well. Also 40’ import containers of latex gloves. Our P&L was shit in February, March was looking like shit but suddenly picked up. Praying it stays that way.

We created one of those fancy letters for all of our employees in WA and OR, then our Sheriff released a statement saying they don’t need a letter and won’t be hounding anyone about going to and from work.

I’m loving these clear freeways to and from. It’s amazing. Also loving the wife working from home....coming home to a clean house with a nice home cooked meal :D

I have been deemed essential. Got my travel papers yesterday if needed. My OPs manager says he was stopped yesterday morning and asked where he worked, he was then told that starting today, 03/26 he would papers stating his job or employer is essential.

Its no secret where I work, its freaking home depot. I get that we are essential due to supplies in emergencies and the need for emergency home repairs. What gets me is this. If this is so serious that schools are canceled, shelter in place orders being given by the .gov, why are people treating this like a memorial weekend? I swear I saw and dealt with more random people, out with their kids just running around, oh we are just killing time.
My exposure to this stuff is thru the roof, people do not respect the marked off areas I am forced to work in, shove their cell phones in my face and say here talk to this person, then get upset when I politely tell them no I will not handle your phone that stays up against your head, put it on speaker and you hold it or you can relay what I am saying, they get upset. Same when I ask them to please take a step back instead of right up against me.
Sorry we are out of toilet paper and cleaning supplies and all POs that were confirmed have been canceled and no I don't know when we will get more and no there is none in "the back" since we don't have a "back" to store anything.

Be careful out there folks. Sorry my mini rant, but its been a heck of week, I get it people are stressed out and there is a lot of unsureness in the air, and a shit ton of folks are out of work, but we are all in this together.
