Hello all, first time poster here!

I've seen topics on just about everything but this - Have any of you been having mechanical engine issues such as ticking engines, oil burn, or even hearing of a failure? I'm curious, as these issues (among others) have largely driven me away from the big 3.

I've been oggling at the 3rd gen since it was a teaser photo and am very excited to be placing an order soon

I haven't heard of any of it. I've had mine for 2 months now 1600 miles and the only issue I've had was the gas gauge issue - engine runs just fine. It could be some of those articles could have been written by haters.

    Haters will..... you know.... hate...

    First off...Welcome to the forums!

Secondly...I would spend some time reading through the forum. There are many threads out there that cover various mechanical issues. Some big & some small. Here is some reading material to get you started:

    1) 2022+ Gen 3 Turbocharger Failure List
    2) Fuel Gauge Issue 2022 Tundra
    3) Random stall, restarted and drove fine after
    4) Start Up Sequence? (Noise Investigation)
    5) 2022 Tundra Check Engine Light
    6) Power Steering Error message
    7) Turbo issue
    8) Fuel gauge - anyone else having a similar issue

One note of caution: If all you're interested in is looking at issues, then "issues" is all that you will see. There are lot's of posts sprinkled throughout the forums of owners having fun with their truck and discussing mod's, etc. Look through those various threads as well and you'll see tons of satisfied 3rd Gen owners. Here are some "fun" threads to glance at as well:

    1) 3rd Gen Builds (2022+) - An entire section dedicated to 3rd Gen owners doing cool builds with their trucks.
    2) Let’s see them white trucks :)
    3) WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TODAY?
    4) LETS SEE THEM SUPER SONIC REDs
    5) WHERE HAVE YOU OFF ROADED TODAY??
    6) Who has had no issues with their 22?
    7) 22+ 3rd Gen Wheel offsets/fitment thread
    8) Who has a new 2022? Post your new truck pics here!!
