Anyone aware of factory wheel offsets yet? I’m pretty sure I will go down to 17” or 18” from the factory 20” but I don’t want them to poke out from the stock fender flares. I’m wondering if 18x9 with 0 offset will poke or I’ll need some positive offset.

I'm 90% positive that factory offset for most TRD OR wheels (4R, Taco, and Tundra) are +25 or +30 off-set. They've stuck with that for years and are pretty consistent, from my understanding.

Now that 17’s have been confirmed i’ve been wheel shopping more. I’m all about weight savings and i’ve found that the volk te37xt is the lightest at 18.52 lbs with a +15 offset and the next lightest i’ve found is the motegi mr150 at 24.2 lb. Anyone know of something in between those two as far as weight?

I have also found some good lightweight options with 0 offset but i still don’t have a good idea if an 8” or 8.5” width would poke out with that.

Do you mind posting some links to the Volks, Motegi and some of the others?

Im pretty sure the Volks I saw were like -10 or something and I have ZERO plans to be rolling into my neighborhood with that look :eek2:

My other route is to wait for the Pro’s BBS’s come available…and it’s probably gonna be the same price if not more :(

Just an FYI, I was told by discount tire that the stock 18” TRD Offroad wheels are a +60. I’m getting +18 and was told there’s a good chance those will have a little poke as well

Thanks for that feedback…some poke I can deal with (especially when the truck gets leveled/slightly lifted) but there comes a point where it gets past my personal comfort zone so I leave that to others

For sure, would have been here already but Discount Tire was closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas. Originally, I was going to try a +1 offset but they told me that would more than likely rub. I had +18 on my 2019 and it was barely out the fender. Will keep yall updated

Easiest way to tell now is to take a wheel off and the offset will be printed on the back and starts with ET.

You getting Methods? Thats what im looking at with a 305/70r18 tire and a small lift. Thinking it should fit fine with the lift.

I'm going with Fuel. Methods were my first choice but it would have taken longer to order those. I'm not doing a lift anytime soon so just going with 275/70/r18

With few exceptions 2007-2021 Tundras have been +60 offset. Rock Warriors were +50.

Lifts are very likely not needed for anything 35" or less. The clearance issue has always been at the front and rear of the wheelwell, and you need to address that lift or not, if you want it to never rub.

The new Tundras appear to have more clearance than the old. And they still look way better with big tires! I'm 99% sure that you'd be safe up to 35" and no lift. By safe I mean, any mods you need to do would be simple.

Really curious to see... would be cool if you could fit 35s on +18 rims and not even have to create more clearance.

34594097-9272-41AE-A49B-3ED6A3F9B14B.jpg Not sure how these compare to the 2.5 gen, but my pro wheels were +60 or 65 18x8 wheel. I went to a +25 18x9 with 35x12.5s. Check my build in signature for other photos.

I’m fairly certain that the new tundra’s use the same factory offset as the Tacoma and 4Runner which is lower than 60. Guys are fitting 35x12.5 on the stock wheels with no lift no issues. Adventure motor sports KC (on Instagram) tried to fit a set of method 17’s with 0 offset and they stuck wayyyyyyy out there- total broride. 18-35mm offset seems to be the sweet spot in the new rigs. Icon and method both have 17’s I am eyeing up, but the FN six shooter would be super slick in the correct offset and weights only 20lbs… that’s 32lbs less than a set of icon vector 6’s for the set- that’s a lot of reduction. The Motegi 150’s are about 24lbs which is light. Volks are what we all want, but I can’t afford them (and I get deals with method and icon).

    Yeah…saw some of that too.

…unfortunately until one of us here does it (with various stock wheels) and see how those fit with different tire sizes and report back with pictures we are going to be stuck in this he says/she says situation.

Folks also will need to realize (I think most of us posting here do) that each aftermarket wheel with their different offsets/widths/backspaces bring their own variable to the conversation

With the 2nd gen the lift is unnecessary as well, for 35s or less. But few seem to know that... or know that if you want to not rub ever, you need to do the same mods regardless of lift.

The Berge guy makes a few errors... but one thing I got was that piece of metal that sticks out and rubs the rear/inner side of the tire at full lock (1:18 in the vid). That sucks. Think I'd just take an angle grinder to that, because it looks like the 3rd gen has good clearance otherwise.

Tire sizes vary (even with same size!), rim width, rim offset... and alignment and UCAs change the fore-aft position.

    Anyone running -44 offset?

Negative -44 would poke out quite a bit. +44 should work and could maybe run a small spacer if you want a wider stance.
