Of course he hates it because 3.0’s aren’t necessary!? Well until they are necessary. Hahaha
I hear Kevin’s setup rides really nice.

Yeah. At that point LT would definitely make more sense. I mean even at the cost of MT 3.0, LT is a viable option.

Yeah not gonna lie, I'm trying to find a write up if anyone has converted their 2wd to 4. Everywhere is saying to sell and buy a 4wd, but I don't want to go through that headache.

Can't be too hard right. Just a tish of wiring, which is probably already there and the parts.

Or could make a hole and have it manual instead of electronic.

From what I understand you would need all the hard parts and ECU with matching 4wd controller. Honestly I think it would be a lot more work sourcing all the parts and then doing the conversion than just buying a 4wd truck.

Honestly, yeah you're probably right. I just don't want to go through the whole ass pain of having a vehicle payment for longer. Almost done with this one as it is, and that means more mod money.

brother, trust me.. i've thought of all the possibilities and options. hell, i was even thinking about doing an electric front drive conversion, @osidepunker do you recall our drunken brainstorming idea i've had to get my 2wd to a 4wd.
i was in love with my truck and i didnt want to get another one. if i were in your shoes right now... i'd just buy a 4wd from the auction copart.com and swap my parts over and sell the 2wd.. the conversion and efforts and money required just dont justify it...

Realistically, my truck doesn't see enough off road time to justify 4WD.

Right now anyway. Florida has some douche bag laws when it comes to offroading

You could get the oil serviced, swap seals. Save on return shipping and have fresh shocks.

Personally, I would start doing those services yourself.

What's the timeline or how often should those services be performed? Also I may be able to handle it not sure if I'll need any special tools or not

Yeah, BDS w/stock lowers. Here we have dunes, hard packed dirt, landslides and huge ruts that like to throw alignment.

There are specific tools, mainly the N2 charge kit.

I am using the King site, so....

    http://www.kingshocks.com/products/parts/replacement-parts/

    Here is the procedure:

    https://www.filthymotorsports.com/Articles.asp?ID=265

On the N2 Charge kit, you can buy a bottle off CyberWeld for pretty cheap, and then talk to these guys, since you will need to check pressures and adjust as necessary:

    These guys are the shit....

    https://www.schmidtyracing.com

    Hope this helps.

Yeah the only reason for MT2 is if you are honest with yourself and decide that you can't afford LT.

    ADV, formerly Glassworks

I honestly don't mind letting other guys take the lead. You have no idea how scary the turns are. To this day I imagine a burnt orange chevy coming around every corner...

I LMAO every time I hear a 2wd guy say this. Really?! The headache of trading trucks is greater than doing a 4wd conversion???:rofl::rofl:

The LC rear is a run of the mill Icon set up with their arms and shocks. In front, I swapped in tundra LCA, UCA, axle and tie rod ends with 3.0 coilovers.

I have never really understood the purpose of any 2WD truck. But especially one that you actually plan on taking off road? Why even bother with thinking about 2WD?
