Will do. Currently still researching. Should be ready to do this January. Ordered the tools needed. 1 Master switch for driver side. 3 regular switches for 3 other doors.

I installed Auto-Loc's modual on my 2010 Driver's side glass, a few years ago. It's working fine but be advised, our Tundra's wiring in the power window area is really thin but the smallest sized Posi -Tap, would've made the job a lot easier.

Thank you for responding. This is very useful information. What model of Auto Loc did you use and was there anything else you can advise or provide for further my bravery to do this.

Hi Greg, if you go to Auto-Loc's website, you'll see their window kits. $ 79 for a pair (better price than I paid) Instructions that were supplied with mine were pretty clear although I went straight to the battery for my "Hot", instead of having to locate and Tap into one of the 'spider web' thin wires in the power window Pod. What I didn't have then though were ''Posi Taps", look into those and all the different sizes/applications available. If you should need any further help, just ask, good luck! PS; You and yours, have a wonderful Christmas!

How does the switch operate with the Auto-Loc? Is it like the driver’s side switch? (Press it down half-way and the window goes down until you release; press down all the way and it auto goes down all the way?)

Yep, operates the same as stock, except it allows Toyota's Beancounter Denied auto-up feature too.

Sweet - I’ll be picking some up then. One more ? I’ll add one to each door for each door’s switch. Do you think I can add 3 to the drivers-side door so all 4 drivers-side door switches can auto-up/down?

I doubt it's bean counting. I bet some too a survey and said people didn't want it. That's what Toyota says now a days. Who ever they are surveying sucks.

Not sure you'd have room in the Window Switch Pod for 4 units. If that's what you're wanting to do, it might be a good idea to contact Auto Loc and ask. They have "Live Chat":typing:

Ain't buying it, Driver's Side Grab Handle, Lights in door bottoms, Amber flashers, Dual zone H/AC haven't been deleted because Toyota "cares" what customers want.

No all you need is a master switch for the driver door.

So, can anyone confirm that buying the factory platinum switch module won't work?

I've just changed from a 2007 Titan "Off-Road" to a 2014 Tundra SR5 and am super annoyed to lose this feature :(

Oh I was so pissed off after my 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe switch to Toyota. But it is now not a big deal.

Did you get the premium package with your Limited? My 18 limited did not come with auto up and down, only driver window auto down.

Ask if you can borrow the electric motor too. The most recent understanding is that is that you'll find it's necessary.

Me too, but the yards have caught on to folks like us and now it's seems even difficult to find Toyota wheels. The last time I was hitting yards it was rare to see just about any Toyota, even a remnant husk.

Many tried and it requires too much. I actually have after market modules for that. I have yet to install

So I ask my local tech that services all my vehicles for my company. I was wondering if the canbus could be programmed to use another switch from the Platinum or 1794 series truck to give us the desired auto up feature. My understanding it won’t happen. We would definitely need to replace the body ecu to use the new switch. Placing a different switch in the truck would burn the new switch and possibly fry the current Ecu in our trucks.

So when one you places the mod in let us know

This is interesting because on my 1993 LandCruiser I just had to trim the back of the switch (there is a tab that keeps the switch from being pressed the other way) and solder in a diode and instant Auto Up/Down

Iv looked in the parts catalog and everything is different the switch motor door harness dash harness. Iv also looked at wiring diagram far as I can tell if replace everything in the door you would still have to add a power wire/ may just have to put a fuse in and it still may not work because of the body module because there is 1 lin can wire that goes to it from the switch but may to tell the body module to let the other side down

I swapped a 19 platinum master window switch in my 19 sr5, and non of my windows worked. The wiring of the plugs are totally different.

I wish it was easier to make this work. It's really one of the only things that I dislike about my truck. My wife has a 16 4Runner and it has auto up/down on ALL windows. Even the rear doors have auto switches. Toyota really needs to figure out uniformity of features across the product line.

Agreed, it's as if they went out of their way to make it something that was near impossible to do as a Plug and Play scenario.
