I sat in the back seat of my dc to balloon fiesta. It was fine, the Bloody Mary made it perfect. I love the under seat storage, the fold down back hack and the manually open back window for the two times I’ll use it over the next 300000 miles. I’ll have to google car play to see if that addiction is necessary, but I love my xm. Don’t know what puddle lights are, maybe I’m missing something there I don’t know. I’m sure the loaded f550 I’m getting will clean up some of this mess lol

I was looking at a 4Runner before the Tundra. I opted for the tundra due to the extra power and towing capacity. I want to pull a travel trailer at some point. Just my personal goals was all.

I wanted a regular cab but Toyota did away with them so went with the DC no regrets here if the kids were younger and living at home I’d probably go CM but since just me and wife DC works great I also like the longer bed.

I'm a DC fan myself, but I'm not sure that's the reason I would choose as to why I got one... o_O

It's not the reason I chose a DC but since I rarely take passengers in the back seat, it is not a compromise. Also, larger payload and longer bed which IS a reason I chose DC.

I currently have a DC. If I were to do it again I would go CrewMax. Reason being... Kids and interior space. My truck is the family vehicle and I'd love to have more room inside. Like mentioned before.. You can always grab a trailer or bed extender if you need more bed space. Can't add interior room without getting a new truck.

    HAHA! Nice truck.
Like that bed top... custom built?

WTF is this? CrewMax long bed? Didn't know this existed.

    Looks like fun!

I hunt/camp and the 6.5’ bed is just big enough to load my gear. I don’t sit in the back so don’t care for a CM. Center of gravity is better with the DC when cornering.

Thank You. It is a Leer. Not too many, if at all, make a cap for the long bed. Of course I had to have the best since it sits on the best.

I have a DC and love it. Able to take the friends with me and everyone's gear up to Big Bear for snow boarding. I honestly don't think I'd be able to fit everything with a crewmax.

I have both problem solved. I like the crew max better, I gave up bed space, but I work around it with my trailers.

Air lift, black out emblems, wheels, tonneau cover, tires, led lighting, hidden step rail, remote start.
This is why I chose a CM. It's basically a convertible with lots of room in back for dirt roading, lol...

CM with back window for the win. Awesome for the kids and kid gear as well.
I don’t fill my bed up to the gills or sleep in it. The 5’ bed works just fine for my weekend trips to the lake, and weekend warrior dirt bike trips with my trailer.
I’ve had 8’ beds, but they were 2500 diesels. 1500 with an 8’ bed :notsure:???

I have a "growing like a weed" 10 year old and he is fine in my DC. The CM room is very impressive but I made my decision that bed space is more important than rear cab space (I'm a contractor) and the fact that the DC is only 2.5" shorter in rear cab room than my previous '07 F150 crew cab.
I also love the under seat storage and the way there is a platform when the rear seats are upright in the DC.

That's a pretty color to be sure, but it's not exclusive to the DC. However, the DC will be easier on the 4.6 than the heavier CM for sure. Either way, I hope it's a faithful steed that serves you well!

Yakima HD is on its way [they are all on sale right now] and I am thinking about adding the cab bar(s) like you have. Sweet. That is one reason we bought this rack. Looks GREAT.
