    Just replaced mine, again. This one cracked last week at the A pillar mount. However I heard popping noises a few weeks prior. Check out the plastic backing difference between these two….. absolutely disintegrated.

    Just attempted to replace my driver side with an aftermarket. My problem seems to be bigger. It appears the female end , where the bolt goes holding the stop to the truck frame has stripped out. I cant get it to catch and really don’t know how to fix that issue. Anyone run into this?

    @Bamapt Be gentle and keep trying. You can try to chase the original size with a tap for the first few threads if they are bungled. Otherwise, you may have to try to get behind your kick panel a/ pillar to remove the weld nut and run a free nut or
    Double nut combo to avoid loosening.
    On my 04 I ended up going to a body shop and they welded a new plate in.
