ya know it would be interesting to see if this is age related. I personally don’t mind the chrome but am liking the look better without it.
So what age are all the chrome guys compared to the delete guys ??

    I guess that’s makes me a young 58

I personally like the way my 2019 limited mgm came from the factory. Some chrome but not overdone. But it’s definitely all personal preference. I have seen some tundras with no chrome that look good too

I am 57. Definitely think the younger guys like less chrome. My 31 year old son made an anti- chrome comment after I bought mine. But at the time he owned a f150 so............. lol

I had an F-150 Lariat that was a chrome mobile. My girlfriend (now wife) at the time always made fun of me for driving a “daddy truck”. So I went 180° the opposite and bought a black SR DC, only chrome was the 4x4 emblem which I plasti-dipped black. I’m not a young buck either.

I do like a bit of chrome on classic cars. The bumpers on my old beetle will stay chrome. I just don't think chrome belongs in trucks.

I love the chrome on my '18 limited. Just the right amount. I think the whole paint everything is already over played and will fade out in the coming years. If I wanted my truck to look like a car I would have bought a car.

My '07 had a factory chrome grille and front & rear bumpers, the mirrors and door handles were black. Today it has an NFAB rear bumper, chrome door handles and mirrors, it also has bright metal running boards. I had planned to white everything out, but decided the chrome made it look more like a classic.

At some point I will replace the front bumper with another chrome bumper that has less dents.

I like both, just different style.

Top, color match looks more street and city style. Very clean cut look.

Bottom, the chrome has the outdoors and rugged look. The not afraid of getting dirty look. :hattip:

The problem is there is no such thing as "dark" chrome.

My coworkers fake plastic chrome grille on his 07 SR5 is pealing and bubbling up. Doesn't look good IMHO....but then again it's not real chrome.

33 here and I love the minimal chrome I have. I’m old school though when it comes to trucks. Big tires, small wheels, simple and rugged interior, screw the fancy stuff, I don’t want it. White grill and bulge would be too much IMO.

I like the chrome on my cement Crewmax (grill and all four corners of the bumpers).
I’m mid fifties and definitely think it has something to do with age.

One thing I’m not a fan of is chrome ends on one bumper and painted ends on the other which I see a lot of on the Tundras. That sh*t would drive me nuts on my truck!

I don't mind the chrome around the honeycomb grills. I just think the 2020 1794 has too much. Like I've previously stated, I like the 1794 interior with the Platinum exterior. One of these days I will get there. . .

I Like the Chrome on my MGM with blacked out emblems and wheels, I think the truck would be too darke without it. I like the murdered out look on some cars but I think it would be too much for my tastes with the Tundra. I can believe how much the MGM color shows dirt actually, the chrome stays cleaner!

That is an unfortunate side effect of the BSM. The BSM sensor can't see through metal, and because it is mounted in the rear bumper ends they have to be replaced with plastic. I do think it's nice that Toyota color matches these instead of cheaping out with black unpainted plastic.
