I see so many anti-chrome posts, people who can't wait to get rid of / replace the chrome. I may get piled on here, but anyone else NOT necessarily hate it? Is it just me? Am I missing something?!

Even if I wouldn't mind spending a ton of money to get rid of it, I don't think I would. I know everyone has personal preference, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of "allies" that don't mind the "shiny." o_O

I like chrome. I added front and rear chrome door handles. If I could afford a grill with more chrome, I'd add that too.

I like the way my 1794 came from the factory "Chrome wise". I am not spending money to change that!

I like the chrome. My ‘17 limited has a lot of it and after reading all the anti-chrome posts, I still like it.

to each their own I guess....

I think they sell Chrome spray cans.

@TXRailRoadBandit73 knows where to get them. I can't copy the video link. :D

I like the chrome on my truck more than I thought I would, though I would still have gone with colour matched instead if I could have gotten MGM for the same price (SX not available in MGM and TRD Sport costs a few thousand more).

I got a box of chrome door handles and mirror caps that I was going to put on my '18 but ended up trading for a '20 limited.
    Anyone interested?

One of the first things I did was get rid of mine. Even got rid of most of it in the house also. Too shiny for me.

i like an appropriate amount of chrome. my sr5 has a few chrome touches which (i think) make the truck pop a little.

what i dont like is the massive amounts of chrome that people add to their trucks so that it looks like the pep boys threw up on their truck :)

Mine came with no exterior chrome and I love the way it looks. I don’t necessarily hate chrome but some of the trims have entirely too much IMO.

I like it on the exterior in small quantities, my Limited still has every bit of it that came on it from the factory.

I am not a fan of chrome on the interior, any place (vent trim rings, etc.) that can cause annoying sun glare...nope, not a fan.

I don’t mind the chrome on the front and back bumper of my sr5. Actually like that look better than color matched

Not a fan of chrome door handles or chrome grill though. Glad I don’t have either

I think chrome is good in moderation. I think the whole black out everything look, has been so overdone in the past 15 years it's not even funny anymore, to the point we're I am willing to give chrome a break... I like subtle well placed chome.

My door handles, front bumper, grill, and some interior was chrome. Including that awful blinding surround to the cup holders.

I am not super passionate either way. I don’t hate the chrome and I think it looks just fine on my sliver Tundra. I still PREFER a color matched bulge and surround, but I have not bothered spending any money to change it. But how sweet is it that there are so many options both OEM and after market to change the look however we like?

My Limited had too much chrome. I don't mind the real chrome bumpers but the fake plastic chrome everywhere else had to go asap.

Perhaps my "tolerance" or even (dare I say) admiration of the chrome is a carry over from our other hobby of vintage Airstreams. But I agree, I like a healthy balance on a vehicle.
