Makes sense to me. I guess this is why I have been looking at property around anchorage and palmer for a couple years now. Cali is the devils playground.

Buy property down on Kenai. Palmer is ok but too close to Matsu Valley with all the meth heads that want to break into your vehicle looking for change. They won't dare breaking into your house. Everyone has firearms. Literally. Except the dumb ass meth heads.

Well. . .I'm not in law enforcement but my dad was. . So maybe that's where I get it but like others have said, I can't sit with my back to the door. . .anywhere. . And constantly watch everybody. . Definitely do not like crowded areas and honestly can NOT stand people in my space. Unless its a g.f. or my son or someone really close. . I can't stand it. I mean to the point of almost being pissed off. . I can feel my b.p. rising and start sweating. Not sure what that's about bit its gotten worse as I've gotten older.
I'm a fitter so anytime I go into a facility I'm checking lines for plumb, square, level, whatever. .
I'm also ocd as hell. . .so much that even though I HATE my truck being dirty, I hardly ever wash it because it's such a task. . It usually literally takes me 2 to 2.5 hours just to wash it. . Because if I do, it's meticulous to a point of ridiculous. . I will NOT leave a spot, bug, smudge etc. . . And lord help me if I find a tiny new scratch. .
It gets worse. . .everything has to be even. . No, not volume ( that too) but EVERYTHING. . for instance, if I'm walking and my right boot scrubs the ground between steps, I have to slide the left boot to even it out. . Yeah. .I don't know. . Just a little weird shit about me. . .

Me and my two younger brothers make from time to time great sour dough bread and biscuits from my dad's start dating back to 1965 when my dad retired from flying birds for the Marines and bought a ranch in Oregon. Your loss our gain:thumbsup:

I'll be 74 in a few days, and for as long as I can remember, like since I was a little kid, I've had two things while riding (now driving) in the car. Most of my life has been in the west and south, traveling in the wide open spaces. Driving along beside fields plowed roughly perpendicular to the road, you see the furrows whiz by, and they converge at distance. So as a kid, I always imagined it was some imaginary traveling buddy of mine who runs along beside me, legs moving so fast that they're just a blur. I don't really imagine that anymore, but I do look to the side of the highway and see those same furrows and remember. Keeps me young, I guess. :D

The other "quirk" is, while driving along parallel to another road, as in a four lane divided highway, or beside a railroad, and seeing a culvert coming up under the road beside me, I have to glance into the culvert as I pass by to see if I can see all the way through the culvert to the light on the far side.

I believe the difference is between toast as a noun or a verb. The noun refers to white bread exposed to direct heat. The verb refers to the process of exposing any other bread to direct heat. And I do like some sour bread.

I put price tags on almost everything I see. I try to keep my prices up to date so I can make better estimates. If I see something and can’t spit out a number, I usually look it up..

    Let’s see...
Really bad habit of impulse buying cars/trucks

Must be doing something with my hands or I grow bored very quickly

my mods and just in general working on the trucks or cars must be perfection in my eyes.

Interior rattles drive me nuts. (My tundra may be missing half its interior right now, but there isn’t a single rattle)

I have an obsession with old school mechanical things.

I also have a very big desire to one day own a turn of the last century car (1900)

I started my career as a cop and Sunday day tour was usually your slowest tour so that was the tour that you washed the RMP, checked the fluid and tire pressure and checked over general maintenance of the vehicle .And you always left the RMP 3/4’s full for the next tour.
Now every Sunday morning I take all the cars in my family to the gas station, top them off , clean them out and check fluids and tire pressure .
Then I have to back them into my driveway.
Funny how some habits are formed .

Like @JMB said, the noun "toast" means toasted white bread. Any other kind of bread may be toasted, but the hallowed title of Toast is only held by white bread. :p
