Being Asian, this is sort of offensive (Ram Forum). I've owned Ford, Dodge, BMW, Volkswagen, Land Rover, and a Ducati motorcycle. Gotta love those blanket statements!

Also, thanks OP. You now have me going down the rabbit hole.

I love the "all the money goes back to Japan" argument. They forget that much of the money that went to Japan comes right back to the US to pay the American workers to make the vehicle and to keep the factory going.

This is hilarious. He thinks his Asian friend switching to a ram must mean that it’s better than a tundra?

Going on those forums to discuss trucks and which one does what better is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how badly you beat the pigeon at the game, it's just gonna knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it won.

It's not worth your time. I'd rather shit a knife.

I remember this one time a brand new Chevy had what the dealer called a "catastrophic failure" of the fuel injectors. My Tundra had to tow it. I made the Chevy owner back his trailered truck into the parking spot just to get a pic of him driving my 'Yota.

I don’t see nothing wrong with USA
helping out other countries with jobs by building their big 3 vehicles, (still not as good vehicles lol) but still..
Just like Japan giving jobs to North America and other countries by building their Toyota’s cars and trucks.

Well..to be fair, Ford didn’t take a bailout, they were financially viable as a company. GM and Chrysler...that’s different. I remember watching the congressional hearing when congress asked the ceos if they would take a dramatic pay cut to get a bailout and Allen Mulally (ceo of Ford) said “nah I’m good where I’m at.”

If you have a cold beer and 10 minutes this is a pretty good summary of the bailout. TLDR:, it was mainly for GM. Ford did take loans. They(big 3) were cutting jobs while Japanese companies were employing American workers. The bailout helped US [Correction:GM ]companies from losing significant market share to Honda, Toyota, [Correction; , and Ford].

Ford did take money from the Government, they did it to stay competitive.

Ford Motor owes the government $5.9 billion it borrowed in June 2009, the same month GM filed for bankruptcy. By Sept. 15, Ford needs to start paying that money back. In a government filing, the carmaker said $577 million is due within the next year, and the full amount must be paid off by June 15, 2022.

There’s a difference between “take a loan” and “needed bailout money to survive as a company.” Unlike GM and Chrysler, they didn’t NEED bailout money to survive as a company. They took a loan because rhey felt they were at a competitive disadvantage. Since every company takes loans that’s doesn’t make fords “bailout cars” (avoiding political terms).

:rofl:Same. I had an 03 taco and waited until I couldn't stand it anymore to get a tundra because the thing just wouldn't quit. I'll probably do the same with this tundy; wait until it's high mileage and just trade it in for a new one when I get bored with the outdatedness (I know that's not a word).

I know what it's like to be around die-hard ford and gmc people and they're such a headache. My parents are all-out ford maniacs. I can't even count how many times my mom's F250 has been in the shop, meanwhile I've never had a problem with my yotas. Doesn't stop them from trash talking :notsure:. That episode of Truck Night in America didn't help when the raptor beat the tundy, my dad wouldn't shut up about it lol.

Haha, that's when you sell it for basically what you paid for it (especially for a Taco). Then use that money to get a new Tundra and mods. I promise, fun is to be had for awhile. But to say that a vehicle is "boringly reliable" is like saying, "I'm getting rid of my Glock because it never jams."

My brother-in-law has an '06 Sequoia that he keeps on waiting for it to die. Needless to say, he still has it.

    Thats what I did.
I paid for almost half of the truck I have now with my old truck.
My frind named her good girl because the damn thing just did what she was told.

My black Tundra she named Tank. When she saw it she asked where the turret was.

Ive owned a 2011 Sierra and a 2013 F1shitty. The Woman had a 2009 Ram 1500. Driven everything from rangers up to Ram 5500HDs for work. Ive been a member on silveradosierras.com and f150forum.com, now here.

My GM was great. The Ram was ok, just a total gas pig, like 8mpg kind of pig. The other truck we wont talk about.

I talk crap all day long, but I have the experience to back it up. Most guys on those forums have only ever bough one brand, maybe two.

Guys on Tundras are way cooler too. Open minded and friendly. SilveradoSierra guys are decent as well. The other forum...bunch of dicks.
