I’ve been going to different forums for any of the big 3 and searching tundra to see what’s being said.
Its quite entertaining but don’t linger to long, you might lose some brain cells.
There’s some pretty misinformed people out there.

Ex 2 shows even though they preach American made, they don’t know what that truly means.

The big one i hear often is how the Tundras bed/frame rust out... I can assure you i have not seen any of the big 3 where there truck is not rusting out and badly. There is a ram truck down the road from me bout 7 yrs old or so.... It is a work truck...but it is bout done. I have family members that have different big 3 work trucks and had to replace the bed because of rust. Bottom line is all trucks need some type of like linex undercoating, ziebart, or fluid film etc...

Whenever you see a Chevy, Ford, Dodge, GMC remind them they are driving Obama Mobiles !! They would all be gone except Obama bailed them out!! But wait it’s better! TOYOTA never got a dime!! Because they were solvent, making quality vehicles here in the USA.

I know we talk trash on the other three but they really hate Toyotas LOL I don’t know if I could go over there without being upset. There’s no changing their minds until they own a Toyota. Even then they will pick it apart at the slightest difference between it and their old truck. Anytime there’s a problem they will say, “see it’s a piece of shit”.

They have the majority of the market. So I’m sure there are some good ones out there with zero problems. The Toyota has its problems but it seems that the percentage of problems is much less with the Toyota.

The guy talking about the truck getting stuck and him having to hop in the back... is just freaking stupid. Obviously it was a little truck trying to push a lot of snow. You need more weight homeboy. It’s not the trucks fault that it’s small LOL!

I was on a Trailblazer SS Forum. TBSSowners.com for the most part they were a bunch of good guys. I didn’t notice much smack talk on Toyota. And I’ll be honest I have talked my fair share of shit before owning one. But it never consisted of them being a piece of shit. It was more an ego thing. American till the day I die. I kind of figured, how can Toyota all of a sudden think they can build a full size truck when the big three have been building them for over a 100 years.

But I did my research and looked at the truck for myself. And I came to my senses. Toyota money does go to Japan but they make a lot of jobs here as well. While the big three farm their work out to Mexico. It’s a wash.

As always maintenance is key. I think some of the problems you see on the big three are maintenance issues. I’m talking five+ years ago. I’m not up-to-date on the newer ones.
My 2002 Dodge ram is still going strong. But it has had two rear ends go out, and one clutch, radiator and ball joints. It never left me stranded though. My mom drove it for 10 years after I was done with it. Now that she’s passed, my stepdad drives it. I think it’s got about 200 K on the clock.

Most of the guys at work that drive newer big three trucks, tend to get rid of them every five years. How is that proof of longevity? They get rid of them when the warranty is up.

97 f150 v6 RCSB. Manual trans. Threw a rod at 76,000 miles. It was a known issue. Got the block replaced and traded it for my ram.

02 RCSB Ram 4.7L v8 manual trans. Still like it! Test drove the new ones and wanted nothing to do with it. Starting with the shifter knob on the dash. Bye Felicia!

My 06 Chevy TBSS started to eat the rod bearings. LS2 6.0 known for it. I knew this was happening because I was cutting the oil filter open. Thought about having it built, but then decided to grow up.

I loved all my trucks in their own way. The Ford was very flexy. I trusted it until it blew up. The Dodge was my adult truck and I definitely felt like a man driving it around. First car I bought/financed without a cosigner. It was a-year-old and I was only 23-24. I was damn proud of myself LOL. The TBSS was a splurge thing after my dad died. I wanted something that hauled ass and was kind of fancy too. Definitely a fun car. Now my tundra just feels like it fits everything I’m looking for and it’s a smart choice. Good track record for reliability, great resale value. I was tired of losing my ass trading in a low mile vehicle. With the tundra, I figured if I don’t like it I can get a good portion of my money back if I sell it. Which I won’t!

    Sorry for the novel

I do understand bashing others to make yourself feel better about your poor life choices. My Ex probably isn’t as bad as I make her our to be. Who am I kidding sure she is.
