I ran 37s for a while with 4.3s and it drove OK, but I did see a big improvement with 4.88s.
My 2 cents and I'm sure you have heard this many times: if you are thinking you might add a a locker in the future, suck it up and do it when re-gearing (I had the ARB lockers installed with the re-gear) a lot of $$$ but save a lot in labor if do them together.

P.S. How much lift do you have in the back to get that much rake?!!! Or how many inches higher is the back than the front? Thanks again!

Actually for those that love the rake, that pic is a bit impacted by my driveway slope to the right and front.

My truck is actually only 1" higher in the back at the moment. But actually today my new Alcan leafs are being put on which should give me ~2" rake unloaded.

I'll post up some pics with the Alcans and front coilovers adjusted

Not sure if this is poor etiquette for this forum, and if so I apoplogize to the Mods. I thought some of you in the 37 club might be interested in a front CV axle upgrade opportunity.

I am organizing a group buy on RCV Axles in another thread and just wanted to cross-post for those not directly searching for these axles.
They are supposed to be the strongest axles on the market for Tundras. They are not cheap, but if we get 5 people 25% off, 10 people 30% off

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/rcv-axle-group-buy-2021-07.84948/

IF you have comments, questions, want to have a discussion, please DM me or do so in the other thread so as not to high-jack this one.

    Mornin’
    Need help deciding between the following;

    1) Icon Delta UCA’s or SPC UCA’s (adjustable)

I’m running 37’s with the 2017 TRD PRO suspension. No rub, full turn to turn and articulates. Alignment came out 95% spot on.
However... I want to beef up the UCA’s and not over stress the components.
I subscribe to buy once cry once economics.

I will also be adding the Coachbuilder TRD PRO kit within the next month or so..

This gives me confidence in going up to 37s on a westcott lift. Do you happen to have any pictures? I’d love to see

The billet icon delta joint arms that are adjustable are one of the best. If you're comparing to the tubular non adjustable icon delta joint arms then I vote to go with the SPCs. High adjustability and good quality at a fair price. If my truck didn't come with billet icons I would have bought SPC.

I’m leaning towards the SPC’s but the Billet ICON’s seem to have fairly solid reputation. I considered camburgs (also coz they local) but they build in a lot of caster to their UCA’s and are not used on a lot of Tundras from what I’ve researched so far.
    I don’t “wheel” hard, I’m not a Bro verlander.
I just go off-road 7 or 8 times a year to the high desert to go shooting or some fire roads and forest trails for hiking/biking. My truck is 95% driveway princess. If you’re thinking 37’s be aware there’s several ways of doing them.

I’m at work just now so I can’t take pictures of under carriage but here’s a few.

It was a local performance shop in SoCal. I shopped around all the usual suspects; 4Wheel Parts, Outlaw Off-road, ORW, 88 Rotors, Socal Supertrucks and a few other smaller shops.
Pretty much everyone told me “Bro, ye gotta get 4” - 6” lift minimum, coil overs, BMC, UCA’s to run 37’s.”
I.e spend north of $6,000 to then be able to buy and run 37’s...‍♂️

    Thanks Bro.

So I kinda wanted to try a different route and report the results to the Tundras.com forums whether I nail it or eff things up.

The body mount chop was gonna be $350 (several other places were $400-$600 for a CHOP)
Body mount relocation was $700 and eliminates almost all the headaches of clearance, wheel offset and the paltry 2” lift with the Bilstein TRD Pro suspension.
I’ve spoken to Coachbuilder and will be ordering the +3 TRD PRO kit. This should give another 1” up front and 1.75” in rear. I’ll be going with SPC’s adjustable UCA’s and installing them about a month after the Coachbuilder kit. Just trying to see what improves things piece by piece.
If anyone local is considering this and wants to drive my Tunny or check it out I’m happy to meet up.
My 5.29 gears have almost 400 miles on them and I’ll be having the diff oil changed at 500 as recommended by the installer.

Sorry to keep digging in on this, but what shop in Socal? Unless it/they are exclusive then I get it if you don't want to name them out. I've been hunting and searching around to find someone or a fab shop that is knowledgeable to do this on my tundra since no one else does and most little fab shops around does it for all those tacos and 4R.

I’m being respectful to the shop, they wanted me to wait until I was completely happy and driven the truck a wee while to report any issues before dropping their details. It’s only fair given I went a very different route to 37’s...

Gimmie a call, for a wee chat.
    happy to answer any questions.

I thought my fenders were the limitation for 17x8.5 0 offset? Looks like my front bumper might be saving them. Here's what lots of caster does.

    20210417_115220.jpg

Rear bumps tuned in nice, just grazing plastic liners at full hard stuffed. I have a little more plastic liner trimming to do on the rear of the front wheel wells. Maybe you guys are talking about the bottom corner of the fender behind the front wheel? Mine looks a little bent there? I'll just trim that off too.

Duro bumps on one bump and stock with a spacer for 700# coils on the other front bump spot.

New custom Alcans. About a 3" rake with Icon 6" coilovers up front. Should settle a bit and when truck is loaded up for trip it in theory should have about 1" rake.

    Tomorrow is the day...

Hopefully all goes well... my setup will be as follows

    Fifteen52 turbomac 17x8.5 0 offsett
    Nitto rg 37/13.5/17
    Jba upper control arms
    Demello high clearance bumper
Icon rxt option 2 out back.

pretty aggressive but I’m hoping I can make the 13.5 work, discount said I would bring them back for 12.5 if they don’t fit.

many advice from you fine gentlemen?

13.5 might hit your fenders if you ever flex like the picture quoted directly above your post. same wheel spec with a 12.5. different tire brands have different true dimensions though so you might be okay.

This was kind of my fear. I’ll admit I was impatient as the 13.5 was the only size they could get in time for my only two days off this month. If they don’t work I still have my 295/70/18 gramlights I can use until I can get some 12.5 in
