Yes for me. I have a 78mile commute and it wore on me. Plus I’m going to redo the head unit and speakers.

You can't go wrong with the 8''. We go on family trips in the truck and it doesn't annoy use. Quiet on the highways until you step on it. Very throaty and awesome sounding!

Op sounds pretty worried about too loud. My 10 inch is pretty dang loud starting up in the morning. I would have done 12 if i was starting all over on exhausts

I got rid of my 8 and went 12. 8 was way too loud on cold starts in MN. 12 is a good happy medium.

I've struggled to find any audio of the 12" system. I thought I was pretty sold on the 10" but now I am unsure. Might have to give Keith a call.

the 10 is very subtle cruising. If the radio is off and no kids in the car, you can faintly hear a rumble. This is with or without the resonator ive run it both ways

No I am in the market for a system. I am between the 10 and 12 but am leaning towards the 10.

I currently run the 12, but also ran the 8 - never the 10.

Happy to answer any questions you have.

I was in this same predicament a few months ago. I do moderate towing but still wanted a little noise when I got into it. I went with the 8" instead of 10, no resonator and haver never looked back. I love it

I’m very happy with the 12 inch, but I also prefer a more subtle exhaust with a good tone over a loud raspy exhaust.

As long as you run the resonator, both systems turn quiet at 65+ under light load highway driving.

I had 2 reasons for changing from 8 to 12.

    1) Under heavy throttle, the 8 was a little too raspy/poppy for me. Normal to moderate driving with the 8 sounded great - very throaty. The 12 has more of a tempered growl which levels off as the rpms go up.

    2) Under light load (to maintain or fluctuate speed) in the 40 to 55 mph range when the truck is in high gear - there is a constant deeper tone compared to OEM - which will be true of any aftermarket exhaust. I wouldn’t call it drone but it’s still a sound that can wear on you if you spend a lot of time in that range. Anyway, the 8 was more pronounced than the 12 is in that range.

The 8 sounds like an aftermarket performance exhaust. It’s not obnoxious but I wouldn’t call it subtle either. The 12 sounds like it could be a factory performance option. With the resonator, the 12 is quieter than the TRD exhaust on the inside, but louder on throttle than TRD on the outside.

Even though the 12 is advertised as quiet, it is not OEM quiet. You will not mistake it for stock.

    6" BAMuffler.
I have the 6" w/o a resonator on it at the moment. The people in the front seats can have a conversation with no problem at all times. It's hard to hear ppl in the backseat, and it's a little loud back there but not unbearable by any means.

The most impressive thing about the exhaust is the upgraded performance and mpg gains. At 80mph I got 21.3mpg coming down from Cheyenne, WY to Windsor, CO. It definitely turns heads in town too, women want me and men want to be me. My wife loves it too so that's a plus.

im tempted to try the 12 then. I like a quiet cabin while cruising. Heck the stock exhaust has more drone that i like. I went on and bought the resonator but havent installed yet.

You may want to consider a big magnaflow then. 5x11x22 case. I have one of those welded into my stock pipes, no drone really and just slightly deeper sound profile than stock

If you're not sure, I always think it's better to error on the side of quiet. You can live with a quiet exhaust (even though you may wish/want louder at times) compared to an exhaust that is too loud, which you can't tame unless you change it out.

Best rule of thumb is this.... do you tow or travel long distances with the family? No = 8" and Yes = 10".
