I have the 8' without resonator. IMO it doesn't sound loud in the cab. People always tell me they can hear me from a block away but honestly it's not loud inside. I get a lot of compliments.

Without the resonator on the 10” made it difficult to have a conversation in the cab to the point it was annoying. After I put the resonator on, I can now barely hear it during normal driving. This was a little disappointing but I can absolutely hear the roar when I step on it during spirited driving. If I had to do it again, I’d still probably go with a 10” or if I could split the difference, maybe a custom 9”!

I ordered a 8” and hope to receive it soon! The only reason I went with a 8” is because I don’t tow that much in a year. If I was towing monthly I would have went 10”.

it is reassuring that if I do not like the 8” I can return it and get a 10” + shipping.

Both sound great. I went 10” and even non exhaust tone sound enthusiasts actually like it (my wife). I did not install res and the only times I’ve considered it droney is going up a steep grade at 1500 rpm which I rarely do. Happy with 10” here, but yah can’t go wrong.
If your worried about it being too loud go 10” if your worried about it not being loud enough go 8”. Either way you’ll be opening windows and looking for tunnels and retaining walls to bounce the sweet notes back at you. Man I may just trigger my remote start right now….

I have a 10 and do quite a bit of towing. It's pretty loud when I'm towing and sounds really good while normal driving. I do have the resonator installed

Based on what you want and from what I have heard from other people, sounds like the 10 would be good for you. If I had a tundra I would put the 10 on it because my desire for exhaust sound is like yours.

I have the 8”. Ran it for a while without the resonator, and then put the resonator on. Big improvement, a richer sounds with the resonator.

I'm thinking I'll be going with the 10". I won't be towing but I will have children in the back and I like to leave on early fishing or hunting trips without waking up my entire family.

Just waiting on a potential 4th of July sale now!

I had an 8 with the rez and swapped it for a 10.
It's plenty loud, 8 was too much.

If I were to buy a new Tundra, I'd probably get a 12...

    It was actually a custom 7, I couldn't decide between the 6 and 8, but it sounded a tad louder than a friend's 8.
Not that it was too much, it sounded great.
At 59 years old, it was getting a tad loud for me.
I was getting off work at 3 in the morning and wanted something quieter.
You can keep it quiet putting around in your neighborhood, but that awesome startup you can't quiet down.
No one ever complained, I just wanted to do the right thing.

I ran it for 4 years and then Keith swapped the 8 out for a10, $180 for shipping.
Fair to me, better than having to buy another one.

If you have a wife (and/or family) in the truck, a 10 is a pretty good compromise.
I'd suggest trying it without the rez of a week or so, then decide it you want it.
I can't see not wanting it, the rez is what cuts the drone..IMHO
