If you're in BR or need something I'd be glad to help if I can, just ask.

Last night we got 9" of rain, we've had another 6 or so today. The eye is directly to our West so the winds are gusting to 60 or so. We won't flood I don't think but will be flooded in for a few days at least.

Thanks man. We were in BR for about 2 or 3 weeks after Laura.
My neighbors put in the our subdivision page that they had gotten 10.7" of rain, but that was an hour before and it was still raining. Prob gonna keep raining for another 3 or 4 hours too. We'll see I guess ‍

not too bad. running off our standby generator right now. i'm back at work today while wife is home with the 3 kids and "working from home" until daycare gets repaired. but we just had tarps ripped off and water got in where those were. but honestly, nothing terrible. pretty fortunate. our house was built up kinda high, so no water got in. the water was really bad and got about 16" of rain in a few hours. our back yard looked like a lake. but we're good to go. should have power back by end of week. my parents rode it out and they had the eye wall scraping by them. they had about a 3-5 minute pause where the eye passed through. a friend of mine that lives on a road thats a little lower got a little over 2' of water in his house.

I was just telling my wife that in any other year all these hurricanes would have received around the clock news coverage but this year they are forgotten before they even pass. I've lost track of how many times the gulf coast has been hit this year.

Glad to hear your doing ok Andy. What a pia. Going through one major storm a year is enough for anyone but dealing with back to back is a different level of sh*t

yep. but honestly, if this were hitting new orleans, you wouldn't hear the end of it. but since it's a different city 3 hours from there, no one cares or covers it.
