Decided on lifting over coilovers. Need help on brand of lift

My driving is similar to yours, a lot of road driving but do get on some off road and love driving on the beach and dunes at coast. I have a 6" stage 2 procomp lift, I love it and all my passengers are very surprised at how smooth the ride is even on bumpy roads and a few curbs. My .02

I read that coilovers make a popping noise ? Is that true? Anyone that uses them?

Look into Zone 5 inch kit, saw lots on YouTube about it and is made by BDS. Great reviews on this. I don't know much about lifts but it's another to check out

Okay, so the difference in these kits across the board starting with the Skyjacker system is the use of blocks and leaf packs. There are about 6-7 different kits on the Skyjacker systems which basically vary in the grade of shocks, struts and using either the blocks or the leaf springs to achieve lift in the rear. I'd opt for the M95 struts, shocks and the leafs if I were doing the Skyjacker system because the ride is much improved with the height on these parts in particular. Be careful with Skyjacker with that "17 in wheels will fit" claim. To date, I haven't seen a SJ kit that allows 17 inch wheels because the wheel (17's) has too much B.S. and inner barrel circumference. It gets really close to the lower ball joint on the knuckle. Most of your 6in kits with spindles require a B.S. between 4-5in with VERY LITTLE room more or less.

The Fabtech system dials it up a little more because most of the kits come with a coilover setup along with performance or uniball UCA's. I'd still say use a leaf system of some sort rather than doing a block since the front is adjustable. I'm not really a fan of blocks to achieve lift but if the truck is more of a roller than a performer, you can save the money and put it elsewhere like recovery, lighting, etc. If you are going with Fabtech; definitely swing towards the Dirt Logic system with the DL shocks in the back, if not those at least the Stealth series.

RCX, honestly I've seen nothing but bad stuff from them. I know they're getting better but seriously I correct about 5-8 Tundra's a month with RCX components on them. More time than not I see them come in with dealer tags on em and the shocks leaking. Kits like a week old with 400 miles on the truck. But I'm not gonna knock em and I hope they get better because their prices are insane! In a good way..

I do more ProComp kits because the dealers love to see those kits. Never question the warranty and you don't have to use all Procomp items to uphold the warranty. I do a few of the ProComp/Icon hybrid systems. They use blocks but most of the trucks that come and go are not hardcore off-road rigs. Most of the time they have convinced their spouse that if they let em spiff up the ride that they'll put some real comfy parts on it and keep it "driveable" If you're going with PC, look at the K5069BPS , BPX, and BMX kits. These utilize either Pro Runner and or 2.75 C/O's. I think the 7in kit part number is K5085b but then I'd run the Icons in it all the way around.

Im doing a procomp stage 2 lift with 35s and -12 os wheels. Question for ya is there going to be rubbing with that set up and second do I have to get new uca's or is the kit designed to not need it because of the extended spindles? Also what is and how does one recalibrate the abs? I saw that in the install instructions

Stage 2 should be cool Af, I'm a newbie to this lift stuff but how high is the lift you're doing? I know that has a lot to do with it

The stage 2 is a 6 in lift with new coilover & spindles in the front. rear is a 3in block add a leaf and new shocks. Coilover spacers look like pucks that attach to the top of your coilovers. Or they also make an in coil spacer as well. think they come from an inch all the way to 4 or 5 in
