I am gonna be moving back to Cali. I am going back to the Bay Area. I have 2019 Tundra 1794 edition. I bought it used with a trifold tonneau cover, AMP Research Running Boards, 20 in. Fuel Wheels, Falken Wildpeak 295/60R20, dual TRD exhaust and a 2.5 in. level kit. I changed the suspension to a Bilstein 8112 & 8100 coilovers, Icon tubular UCAs, Icon leaf spring expansion pack. I used to have '21 Tundra TRD Pro Lunar Rock, but I made the dumbest decision of my life and traded it in for a 22 JLU Wrangler Willys. The Wrangler is my wife's car, so I made the decision for her because the Jeep Wrangler was her dream car. I also built it up 35s and 2.5 in spacer lift. Thus, I wanted to build my 1794 Tundra like my old TRD Pro.
I got it to work now. I just had to go to settings and change the canbus setup on my HU. For the 13.3, it is somewhat different from the others.

I bought mine straight from dasaita's website.
    https://www.dasaita.com/products/da...920-1080-dsp-ahd-radio?variant=42249555214554
Depending on what year your Tundra is, make sure you get click on which canbus and dash kit you need.
It took about a week for my stuff to arrive. The install is a little complicated, but I was able to communicate with the tech from the Dasaita's chatroom on their website.

To get your steering controls to work. I have a 2019 Tundra 1794 edition with JBL.
Settings>Car>Factory Settings>password is 126>Canbus>08 Toyota Camry&RAV4(Simple)>APPLY>EXIT>it should reboot the HU.

been a few months. They updated the file. I downloaded and installed automatically on first try! I now have Scout and testing that out. Wireless Android Auto still doesn't work but I now have unlimited hotspotting on my phone so will just run apps on the head unit directly.

I’ve had BT issues since day one. Sometimes when I get in my truck, it’s like the BT first t run. Sometimes I’ve had the WiFi for wireless CarPlay also error out. Usually shutting the truck off or having to go into settings and change something to force the unit to reboot will fix it.

I have an update from Daisata, but when I tried it I couldn’t get the unit to accept the file. Will try again later when I have time.

Why doesn't Android Auto work? I've been using AA for years (wireless, even) on my 10.2" unit.

Didn't like Scout, switched to Vivid. Wireless AA still doesn't work. Not sure if it's user error or something with my hardware. Wired works great but still can't get my S23 to work with wireless AA. It sits at the "connect to bluetooth" screen forever even though I'm already connected to CAR-KIT.

The original stereo brackets fits into the new version of the 9in without any modifications. Buttons are much better also.

Might be a dumb question, but their Amazon listing seems to be confused. If anyone is able to clarify I'd appreciate it.

The 9" unit has the touch buttons on the left side correct? And the 10.2 has the buttons along the bottom? Their amazon listings so this is the case in the main photos, but the reviews for the 9" show the hard buttons along the bottom, and the reviews for the 10.2 shows the soft touch buttons along the left side, as if they were swapped with eachother.

I prefer the look of the 9" with the soft touch buttons so I want to make sure I'm looking at it right.

Yup, 9" is on the left, and the bezel sits flush mount / looks more stock, and trim colormatches.

10.2" doesn't sit flush on the dash bezel, trim is black, buttons on bottom.

My preference was on the 9" and I stick to it still, though I wish they'd make these with more updated internals already. No reason to chug along on old PX6 / RK3399 hardware from 2016, there's gotta be better SoC's out there by now.

Awesome thank you! I'll be ordering mine this week. I like the "Factory+" look, over the aftermarket way to go. As far as the hardware, from what I've read it runs fairly smooth depending on what you're using it for. I'm just getting it so I can use AA instead of the ancient Entune system. So it shouldn't struggle to terribly much I wouldn't think?

It's actually pretty decent at the Android Auto thing, which basically turns it into "wireless video/audio transceiver."

One thing of note - the built-in mic in the headunit is straight hot garbage. I've toyed with trying to get an intermediate harness to work to power and utilize the built-in Tundra mic instead, which requires a 5V power supply, and I think I've almost got it, I think I just need to feed it power from a 12V to 5V converted source, not one of the USB ports from the back of the headunit itself. I'll let you know how that pans out, otherwise I anticipate I'll use the Dasaita mic run up overhead and tucked into the overhead thing by the sunglasses holder.

Definitely let me know if you figure that out. I'd be interested if the one that comes with it is that bad. Could it be as simple as just getting a better quality version of the one it comes with?

So I think there's a little confusion to clear up - there's a small microscopic "mic" on the front of the headunit itself, which sucks. There's the external microphone included in the box that is an external plug-in TRS 3.5mm and that's fine, but requires routing around somewhere to plug in the back of the unit.

Okay gotcha, that makes more sense. I wish it used the factory one, but I don't think routing one would be too much of a problem.

We've got another thread here somewhere about integrating the Tundra mic and powering it, that's what I was talking about with the +12V to 5V converter and such! If I can get it working, I can detail the parts and stuff necessary and do a slightly better walkthrough.

The Product title on Amazon is misleading. In the product description, it shows a 9 inch screen.

The newer version of the 9in has the buttons on the bottom, works much better than the 9in version with the buttons on the left in my opinion. It comes with everything you need except for the Sat-TO2 adapter. You do not need the coaxial adapter. Wires and connectors are for the tundras with jbl

The MIC on the front for this model works well enough that I didn't need to use the included mic.

Looks exactly like the 10.2...? Well that just makes it more confusing.
What is the Sat-TO2 adaptor for?

How is the wireless connection for carplay and such?

Is there a way to make this work with stock SiriusXM? Pretty frequently in areas will no cell service when camping and hunting and would like to keep the capability.

Nope; you'll need to use an Aux input and a separate receiver (unless something new has landed in the last 6-8 months that I didn't hear about.)

welp had a decent run with the 13.3. not sure if it was a screen connection issue or a heat issue but the screen would go black along the edges or get stuck on the previous screen. Had to push on the bottom edge of the screen to get the black borders or the stuck image to go away.

Ended up sizing down to one of the newer android 11 vivid 10.2" units, honestly like how it looks more than the old 13.3"
    ssc.png
    1.jpg
    2.jpg 3.jpg

the connections on the back of the unit are slightly different from the old android 10 13.3" unit, so here's some info on that.

originally this is everything I had bought for the 13.3
    ssc3.jpg ssc2.jpg

still retained the CB004 can-bus and all the parts I bought but this 10.2 unit no longer uses a sma male connector for the GPS. It's now a fakra c, so ordered this fakra C adapter to sma female to connect the gps antenna with the adapters I already had.
    ssc3.png

the only other thing to note is that on the old 13.3" the oem backup cam connector was on the same bundle of wires as the connections for audio. On this unit the backup cam connection is on the bundle for what guessing is aftermarket amp and audio connectors.

Adding on to this, since the sma to smb adapter I ordered was a 2 pack, I ordered another set of sat radio and gps antenna adapters but went with this brand instead since they're cheaper than the Maestros.
    upload_2023-7-6_19-54-0.png

I put the sma to smb adapter on the wifi antenna connection, and connected the xm antenna with the toyota to smb adapter from the pack above to the wifi antenna connection. So now the unit uses the XM antenna as a wifi antenna which picks up a lot better the the stubby antenna they include with the radio.

My 2.5 year old Dasaita PX6 HU screen will no longer come on. This is different than than anything I've dealt with before with this HU. Anybody else have this problem? Looks like I need to contact Iris.

Edit: I still get sound via FM and thumb drive, but without a pic I can't choose from any apps. If it turns on again I'm hoping to get wireless AA going so at least I can get phone and sound out of the truck speakers instead of those in my S22+. The black screen seemed to cycle every few days but not it's holding and seems to be linked with the heat but not sure. An hour plus with AC doesn't seem to help.

looks kinda close to the issue I had on my 13.3 except I still had an image on the center of my screen. I would push on the bottom bezel of the screen and it would come back fine. Not sure if it was a screen, connection or heat issue honestly.

I contacted Dasaita, they made me open the unit and reconnect the board inside. They also had me update it to the newest version but didn’t seem to help.
Their warranty is only one year but they offered to fix it free of charge, I would have had to ship to their warehouse in china, they don’t cover shipping, and it would take them 30-50 days.
Their second option was that I could ship it to them and instead of repair they could give me a new unit for $350.
Their third option was to just keep it and they’d give me a small discount on a new unit, but the offer was only good for 7 days.
