Thanks man. I don’t think any of that has to do with the backup cam tho. The RCA is coming from the canbus they provided, but there’s nothing to plug a RCA into

We’ll it’s been a little while since I looked at mine, but I thought there was another harness that had the mating connector for that camera input?

I edited my post above. The RCA I have is coming from the canbus. There’s nothing to plug an RCA into coming from the truck

They come with so many harnesses, some which aren’t needed bc of the CANbus harness you buy, it’s hard to tell!

post up once you have it working!!!

Here’s mine in all it’s 13.3” glory. I just posted a video on my IG of it in action.

It has everything I need, which is Wireless CarPlay & Live TV. I’m happy to have an android head unit again. I had a 9” flush mounted one in my 2017 Tacoma.

What are you using for data? Did you HU come with cellular modem or are you hot spotting your phone?
I’ve tried to hit spot my phone but get an error.

Hot spot from my iPad if I’m moving. Or finding a strong public wifi signal (getting easier nowadays to find) while sitting in a parking lot.

You might be getting an error because you can’t run wireless CarPlay & wifi at the same time. That’s why I use my ipad.

Yeah, I’m thinking that might be the issue. Just haven’t tried it yet.

2020 Tundra non JBL with factory amp here.
I used to have the 10.2 Android 8 unit installed on my old 2011, worked without any issues. However when I connected this radio to my newer truck with their recommended harness I could only get sound through the center speaker. Anyone have any ideas what needs to be done? It's been sitting collecting dust for the last year and I'm fed up with the factory radio.
I already messed with the canbus settings and got nothing out of that. I'm wondering if I need to manually splice the AMP wire from the radio to the factory amp 12v switch.

I believe you need to do that. That’s what I was planning on having to do, but mine actually worked by just plugging it in. Maybe they fixed something in the CB047 canbus connections. I came across this thread while I was doing my research & planning everything out. Hope it helps!

I received an email from Dasaita that the HU was shipped. Hoping to get it by the end of next week. They have been very quick with getting back to me answering my emails.

There was an app you could download and run that was very similar to Vivid. But I think they removed that from the store?

I tried the app, as I think others did, and didn’t like Vivid.

So you're saying that the new CB047 canbus adapter works perfectly fine without any splicing? I might just order one and hope for the best. The last harness I got from dasaita was late 2020 so hopefully they figured it out by now. Which canbus setting did you use in the radio? Was it #4 for the RAV4?

I knew that the 12v switch for the amp was a light blue wire, just couldn't pinpoint which one it was exactly on the trucks radio harness. I'll definitely try what they did in this forum if I don't end up getting the new harness. Thanks for the help!

Plug and play brotha. I was shocked. My initial quirks were operator error on my part. Everything was plug and play on my 2021, no splicing like I thought I was going to have to do. I ordered mine directly from Dasaita, not Amazon.

I’m using canbus #8. The only thing I can’t figure out is that my hang up doesn’t work on the steering wheel & the up down buttons are flipped. When I hit “up” for next track, it actually acts as “previous”

All kinds of info in the Dasaita and XDA forums. Did you try following this link... https://www.dasaita.com/community/forum/max10-firmware ? Just choose the first thread and all the downloads are listed. All you'll need is the MCU img and the latest Vivid ROM. FWIW I hated Scout and Vivid and went back to Max10 while using the Agama car launcher. Vivid and Scout are still so buggy. Also on those aforementioned sites, they tell you not to mess w/ the ROM if you don't have to. My version of Max10 doesn't run as well as the one that came w/ my HU and I can't seem to get it back. Plus, the free GPS maps were lost and I can't get them back.

Seems like all the firmware versions got updates this month. Also there's a new one called HCT but couldn't find any pictures of what it looks like.

Idk what HCT is but it's for Android 11. The change from 10 to 11 is not simple and not recommended

There's a HCT android 10 version too, just a bit further down the list and yeah saw their video on going from android 10 to 11, requires hooking up the unit to a pc or laptop, for sure not a simple process.
