correct! I updated Dasaita firmware to latest.
I turned on the keyboard display on touch. So now even if it thinks keyboard is connected it still shows visual keyboard on screen.

Does anyone know what setting I need to select to get my back up camera to turn on. I've already bought the toycam kit and it's all hooked up but nothing happens when I put it in reverse.

Received and installed the headunit over the weekend. Everything is working correctly, except for that whenever I pair my phone I’m getting a constant whine if the volume is turned on at all, along with some intermittent crackling. If I unpair my phone, it goes away. I’ve updated the software and MCU, and adjusted the gain, but it’s clearly an interference issue with the Bluetooth activation. Anyone have any other ideas other than these are crappy Chinese units that are poorly shielded? I bought it through Amazon, so I guess I could return it and repurchase another unit in case it’s just luck of the draw.

Did you hook up the separate ground wire on the unit? If so where did you ground it?

Yes, I did, grounded it underneath the front seat as has been recommended in this thread. That didn't make any difference. It seems like the crackling happens whenever it is trying to connect/receiving data, whereas the whine is constant when bluetooth is connected. I tried turning off the bluetooth and connecting it to my home wifi and was still getting the crackling noises, but no whine. So it may not just be an issue with connecting to the phone, but any wireless network that requires data to be transmitted.

Be sure you have good bare metal it is mounting to. Also can try disconnecting the ground just to troubleshoot.

Yeah that spot is nice and sanded down since that's where I grounded my amp. I've tried it both with and without the ground connected and it doesn't seem to change. I'm guessing it has to do with how the internal chips are shielded, but other thoughts and ideas for me to try would be more than welcome.

Could possibly be the bluetooth module is defective. I would contact the vendor but their customer service is less than stellar. Good thing you purchased from Amazon ... quite possibly buy a new one and do a swap out. Remember the unit is like a computer so each component of the stereo consist of hardware and software that interact independently and the MCU brings it all together.

For those that have the Max6, which RCA did you use to get your backup camera to work? I finally got mine to work BUT, only when I put it in reverse and press the F CAM app and select rear camera. It should come on automatically right when it goes into reverse. Help!!

I had this issue. You need to connect the RCAs like in the image attached. If you have JBL, you need the proper JBL harness (contact Dasaita and they will send it).

Which harness did you end up using? Is there a yellow rca like the one pictured on page 1 of this giant thread?

So I have the JBL Navigation system but, I have ran all new speaker wire and all new speakers with a Fosgate 5 channel amp. Do I need the vehicle specific harness and Canbus or the generic harness that came with the Max6?

Well that kinda complicate things a little bit. I dont know how to help with this. Sorry.
In theory, you would not need the canbus and just cannects all your new wires from your system to the dasaita using the normal speaker wires and not rcas. But i dont know if you still need the canbus in order to retain steering wheel control.

Should not matter unless they give you the harness or canbus for the civic and not your truck. Now that would be a mess.

My Max6 stops working every few days. All the button presses beep, but no sound and the only way for me to get it working again is to unplug the harness from the unit and plug it back in. Anyone else experience this?
