    1. You will need to specify that you have the JBL system to the vendor so they can properly wire up the canbus interface and wire adapters.
    2. The new head unit does have higher and better amp output which is better than nothing but I decided to upgrade with a separate amp. If you decide to upgrade the amp, you will simply bypass all the audio connections on the wire harness and use the RCA line out outputs to the amp. From there you can decide to use the pre-existing wiring to the speakers by getting an adapter to connect to the oem connectors underneath the front passenger seat or run your own from the amp to each location. This is assuming you will locate your new amp underneath the front passenger seat. There is a company that makes the oem connectors here:

    https://autoharnesshouse.com/41112.html

    Hope this helps

**EDIT: Please note i dont have the JBL system so I am not 100% sure how different the wiring is from the non-JBL.

Before I proceed, could someone take a time to look at my shopping cart and see if I'm missing anything. I'm tracking I have to write a note to seller the year make model of truck and that should cover me receiving the correct canbus. Screenshot_20200117-134823_Amazon Shopping.jpg

Make sure that headunit is the one you want. Do you want carplay or android auto?

Is this the one you have in your cart?

If so, that should be good for android auto.

I am tempted to turn off the lock/unlock beeps on my sequoia. Only because i have the fortin remote starter and everytime i hit unlock, it would beep like 4x. Like someone hit unlock then unlock AGAIN. Gets annoying. 2way remote also beep when you hit lock or unlock. I like the simple, 1 beep. 1 beep lock, 1 beep unlock.

OK .... so here is another great tip thanks @lighthouze08

At some point I guess, your Android HU will eventually deactivate the beep sound from the remote alarm FOB. It's happen to many of us and you will see it from past comments on this thread. I finally got to play with TechStream today and here is how to re-enable it.

It is in the following menu: Double click Main Body - Then click Utility - Then click Customize - Then click Wireless Door Lock - and finally it is under Wireless Buzzer Resp (switch back to ON) and hit the right arrow to apply:

ok there is an issue with our HDMI out. It sends all the audio to HDMI port... So you cant even play the sound through your car speakers. Also it pushes volume to max after HDMI is plugged in. Head scratcher. Cant find a menu to disable sound out to HDMI.

How much does techstream software and cable cost? Is it something a consumer can buy or is it only available for dealership?

You can buy them from ebay and Amazon for around 35 or less.

I'm looking to purchase an android radio in the near future. I've found a few on eBay, but I don't think I've seen in this thread that people are purchasing them through there which makes me a little concerned.
Does this one from eBay seem descent:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/9-For-Toyo...droid10-Car-GPS-Radio-Stereo-Cam/233222962574

Also, I have the rear view camera that shows up in the rear view mirror. I've gotten used to it, but will it stay like that after I install the radio?

    Anyone else experienced this?

I've had my Dasaita in my 3rd Gen for a few months now, and am quite happy with it overall. There is one thing that has bothered me: 2-3 times on colder mornings (temps in the 30's) when I have started playing music immediately after I start driving, the unit has frozen up and begun to emit a horrific high pitched sound from all speakers. So loud and piercing that I have to turn the truck off immediately to make it stop. The volume will not go down, and the power button won't shut it off. Once I restart the truck, it is fine. Otherwise, I really do like it, and don't have any desire to replace it. I've seen posts for software updates, but I'll admit I don't quite understand how that works.

So I am having way to much trouble trying to make this Max6 do the most basic things, like steering wheel controls and making the factory back up camera work. Now I did something and my touch screen isn't working right. What ever I touch does something totally different. If I do the "Erase all data (factory reset) will I brick this thing or will it go back to how I received it?

ordering a pioneer head unit as my new stereo. will be selling Dasaita with all the cables and plugs. I will probably let it go for cheap.
Mine did not even come with proper screen screws. I had to fix it lots and decently got a bad price on it. But I will be fair and sell it cheap. I took a huge loss on this thing.

I believe you reset the touchscreen settings. Hook a mouse to the USB input and go back and recalibrate the touch screen settings in the factory settings. I forgot where it is off the top of my head. I believe this video may help:

I know there is update for cold weather temp issues. Contact Dasaita. I found their customer service less than stellar so I purchased from another vendor. The following video will help with software updates:

Has anyone attempted to purchase from Amazon recently? I know from this thread and messaging the seller that to get the correct harnesses for plug and play you must purchase directly from the seller and not prime with fulfillment by Amazon. However the seller seems to have none of these units for sell directly currently :monocle:

you can purchase the unit directly through the this seller from aliexpress.com ... just do a search. there are many vendors for this unit and you are not limited to just dasaita. just do your homework.

wait what ? Really? It seems to be more of an android issue. What version are you running? Also what did you format your USB stick as. Mine just doesnt want to take the software from USB> It reads the USB but never actually grabs the software update.

Here’s the email Iris sent me
You can update via the following link.
    MAX6 Version : HA2_rk3399_9.0_ota(20190828)https://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/9sdgyp
Please download, then ONLY put update.zip file to the usb (format the usb firstly).
Finally click the setting > system > system updates to update it.
(If you can not download the file, please change the Explorer or computer to do it. If it ask you for the Credit card id, just create the sendspace account then you can download it, do not need to write your Credit card id information! )
Let us check whether if the update will help.

I did it through USB port and it worked just fine, format it as fat32, might have to unzip the file to grab the update.zip file, then throw that onto the usb
