If you have a Samsung you dont need tasker. They have their own built in system called Bixby routines. Very easy to set up.

If you are not currently paying for a device or otherwise locked into a contract with AT&T, you can save some major cash and get more features by switching to AT&T prepaid. My wife and I pay $75/month for both of us combined and we have fully unlimited everything with tethering. Granted the data portion you get "8GB at high speed" then it throttles you to like 2G speeds but I have honestly never used half my monthly allotment. Plus the unused data rolls over to the next month. They currently have a deal going where if you pay for a year up front you get a huge discount that makes it roughly $25/month per line. Same service, coverage, and speed you are paying for now, just cheaper.

I need help and I have read every single post on this thread... First let me frame my ask and let you know what I have already done to prevent suggestions already completed.
    - My initial system install was a full replacement with two kicker amps and all new speakers. I installed a sub box with two 10 in JL Audio subs. I initially installed a Pioneer 7200NEX, with the Maestro harnesses and unit. Everything worked fine, however I didn't love the Pioneer unit and decided to order the newest Dasaita 10.2 in android head unit. I purchased from Amazon and messaged the seller with my truck info...
2019 Tundra crewmax with the non JBL, amplified system w/ backup camera.
Everything arrived and I swapped the head unit out last night, with a bunch of issues...
    - None of the factory steering controls or back up camera work.
    - The sound adjustments need serious work and it took over an hour of adjustments to get it even close to the Pioneer.
    - Came out this morning to drive to work and when the truck started, a message on the screen came up stating the head unit was factory resetting and erased all of my adjustments and apps.
    - I have since reset everything and followed advice from other users on setting "Canbus to 8 toyota camry/rav4"
    - I've switched the two yellow rca's to see if the camera would turn on and still nothing.
    - I've tried switching the steering controls from SWC to Can and I don't see any buttons to map when i go to that screen

At this point I'm extremely frustrated and just want this to work, as I can't park this lifted big ass truck without sonar or cameras... Please help!

I've included pictures of the plugs

    • Camera issue: you are using the wrong female rca plug. On the harness you are using with the Canbus there is one female rca plug. Plug it into that one.
    • SWC: toggle between SWC and Canbus and apply and exit. It will reboot and then go into settings and there should be a steering wheel control selection under car settings. Try pressing one button at a time and you should be able to start mapping. Mine is set to canbus.
    • Canbus setting: my canbus setting is 42 i think for toyota. I know it was up there so just check. My unit is a different brand than Dasaita
    • and the biggest thing you need to set to make your life super happy is this: https://www.tundras.com/threads/dasaita-android-head-unit.45126/page-11#post-1228986
    hope this helps.

    Update:
I made the changes and still nothing shows for the steering keys. Also, I've tried every female RCA and it still won't come on. Also, I don't see apply car play anywhere. I have the white dongle and I've plugged a lightning cable in, nothing for apple is working.

Does the camera need a power source? Wouldn't that be part of the canbus harness?

Yes the canbus should power the camera. Can you take a pic of your entire canbus wire harness? You have a 2019 so I am hoping dasaita is aware of this in case there are wiring differences from older 3rd generation models.

When you had your pioneer head unit in, did they modify any connections for the backup Camera? How was the backup camera connected?

I apologize Paul I remember the dasaita unit has one male rca in the canbus harness and that needs to mate with cable 2 reverse input from the screenshot below. Pm'd you as well.

Installed the modded tomtom navigation i found on tesla style radio forum, works great!

https://cloud.itprosofms.com/index.php/s/KXG3rStTQKYb5qy/download?path=/Apps (MAY OR MAY NOT BE GENERATION SPECIFIC)&files=Tomtom_Go_v1.17.7_Build_2129 - Offline Nav-Speedtrap-SafetyCam-LiveTraffic-NoAds.apk

    1) install the app from Google Play store. <--------DO THIS FIRST !!!!!!
    2) run it, close. <----------------------------------DO THIS BUT do not download any Maps or Voices
    3) uninstall from Application Manager. <-------------THEN THIS BUT do not uninstall it with The Google Store !!!!!!
Please note do not use 3rd party uninstallers.

    4) install Tomtom_Go_Navigation & Traffic Patched <--NOW THIS
    5) restart
You are ready to go now get your maps.

No internet connection needed is the main benefit. For traffic info you will still need internet though.

Good morning, I reached out to the seller on Amazon in hopes they can send the correct canbus harness. I'm still not able to find Apple Carplay on the head unit... Can someone send pictures of which usb the dongle is plugged into? Also, I had the sound dialed in on my Pioneer head unit, however this has way different settings... Can you share your sound settings, especially if you have installed a sub and multiple amps for interior speakers? I'm curious how people have tuned their systems...

Depending on if you have the new unit carplay and Android auto are built in. Open the zlink app and follow the onscreen prompts to use carplay and Android auto. I believe the older model had a dongle for carplay but I'm not positive. And all I do to tune my system is adjust the eq app. It has built in settings for sub output. Also I have a few eqs saved for different types of music. But ymmv of course. Theres also a built in hp crossover that works fine for me. It's under the eq settings also.

How are you liking the HU thus far? I’m close to pulling the trigger on this unit, but the one with built-in CarPlay. Where did you run/mount the USB? Was there an adapter for this radio and our generation Tundra to the factory USB port?

I just ordered the new one with built in CarPlay. Haven’t got it yet but looks like it comes with an adapter for factory USB. I also ordered this USB adapter for the 2 extra USB ports it comes with. Going to pull out one of the cigarette plugs and put this in its spot. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

I am really liking it, It does everything I wanted and the built in Carplay/android auto is great. I just ran the USB into one of the compartment shelves and use them there. I bought an adapter to use the Tundra's built-in USB port but something is wrong with the original port so I am just using the cable that came with the radio.

There is an adapter that plugs into the factory USB plug that normally plugs into the back of the stock HU. That adapter has a standard usb plug on it that will plug into one of the USB port harnesses from the Dasaita unit.

    Is that cable #3 ?
Where does the USB from cable 3 plug into?
    Thanks

Edit. Also where do you hook up the ground cable? Can’t find a good spot in the cavity. Thanks

Theyre just USB ports like a computer. It doesnt matter... Just plug the adapter into one of them. some use the single then route the double to the glove box or somewhere else. Most are connecting the ground to the bar in the back.

Also, how are you guys fishing cables from head unit down? There’s no space to drop cables, do I have to remove glove box?

No. You should have a factory cable that used to go to the back of your original factory headunit. That factory cable goes down to the usb port. You plug the adapter into the factory cable that used to plug into you original HU. The adapter should have been included if you bought your dasaita more recently.

There is a small path on the right hand side that goes to an opening in the top left of the glovebox IIRC. I am about to to the last few videos of my Tesla unit and then I'm doing an install of this Dasaita one so I'll try to make sure to get that part in there for you.

These are the only cables that came with my head unit, along with the Toyota harness. So doesn’t look like I got the factory USB adapter.

Anyone have a picture of the factory USB adapter cable that was supposed to come with it so I can make sure I’m not going crazy lol

This looks like the cable I did not get, I’ll message dasaita and see if they will send me one.
