3.0" Front shocks from ADS give 3+ inches of lift. Driver's side is cranked about 3 threads higher than passenger (bottomed out) due to lean. Fit and finish of the ADS products is fantastic. Ride is definitely firmer than the stock platinum suspension, but I expected that. Now, when you hit a big dip in the road or something it is butter smooth. Haven't gotten to test out the suspension off road yet, but that should happen soon.

I picked the ADS up on the group buy, can't complain!

Tuck and fold the fender liner for minimal/no trimming. Turned out nice, we'll see how it holds up on the trail.

This creates probably 1/2" to 3/4" extra clearance by just relocating the lining inside.

Also trimmed the rear flap, wanted to keep it on in order to preserve some of the rock/mud flinging protection.

Had some fun at the lake today. A little warm, but not terrible. Found a rad place to setup the hammock and chill with some beverages.

Drove down to Tucson for a fun day adventure trip.

Back side of Mt Lemon was mostly straight forward, I had plenty of clearance. It is basically a well maintained dirt road except for the last 5-6 miles.

Took the chair lift up and took in the views, too bad it was so hazy.

And then back down Catalina highway for some tasty beverages at Barrio. Good times. Beer was on point.

Added some puddle lights. They are expensive ($55) to my door, but probably worth every penny if you access your vehicle at night. http://drivebright.com/home/shop/led-puddle-light-pack-bright-trax-v4-extreme-toyota-mazda/ Not sure who's thread had this, but big ups.

    Bright Trax are bright.

Before, sorry for the light bleed from a side entry to my garage. Look at the ground light output.

After, look how much shadow is cast. I was considering adding some cheap led crap to under the body to help people get into the car at night, I'm not totally sure that is required anymore.

Install was easy. Tilt mirrors all the way up, and look for the tab you press in w/ a screw driver. Press it in and pull the light down a bit, but not all the way. Use the same flat head to pull out the other 180* side where there is a small indent. It should pop out real easy. If it doesn't you've pulled the tab part down to far, push it back up a bit and try again. The driver side took me about 4 minutes. The passenger side 2. Rock on.

I struggle here too. It will either be some mid-quality ($250) one from Amazon/ebay/whatever, or a full on Rigid/BD light for 3x that. I might look into the midnight series Rigid to keep it a little more stealth. I might look at BD for some amber cornering & 30" bar down low, but my money tree will need to sprout a bit more and I'm not totally sure the tax man is going to be helpful.

An update from November. We took the four peak trail coast to coast and it was a great little drive. We went the day after thanksgiving and Butcher Jones looked packed, but for the most part, the majority of the four peaks trail was open. This is some pretty tame stuff, there is one area where there are some larger rocks, and a couple areas where the road is a bit tight. If you are new into wheeling (me), this is an easy trip.

    Half way pit stop.

Fun times. We could have turned around at the top but the drive was a bit easier back down 87 to phoenix.

I'm a sucker for sales. @eledobleu had a group buy and resistance was futile. Out with the old, in with the new.

Yup, you know what the led strip on platinums/1794s look like.

Took me 1 hour 15 mins from hood up to vehicle parked and done. I think re-pinning took the most amount of effort, or prying off some of the connectors. Easy stuff. Go buy some new lights, do yourself a favor.

Little trip to Fossil Springs. You don't need a permit there October - April. Went on Saturday 2/3 and it was a beautiful 77* at around 2pm. We accessed the falls through Camp Verde, the road is closed if you attempt through Strawberry.

14 miles on Fossil Creek Rd
    [IMG]

The creek/river is crystal clear with a green/blueish hint. Was very relaxing. We brought a hammock and drank a beer in the shade.

The end of the ~1 mile trail is a waterfall, pretty dope.

I jumped in for a minute, but it was damn cold.

Fossil creek is a very easy drive, but you HAVE to access through Camp Verde, the road is closed from strawberry. If you go to the area April 1 to October 1 you need to reserve a pass. We say people in sedans, although one guy look like he hit a large rock and his radiator had a hole in it. Ouch.

Four Peaks is much more of an offroad drive but still very easy. I had it in 4hi the entire way but could have done it in 2hi as well. The views are pretty awesome as you start to climb towards the peaks. We saw a handful of vehicles there, not too bad for the day after thanksgiving!

Thanks for the info! Question how come you ran four peaks in 4 wheel drive? I never put in four wheel until I need to...

I typically put it in 4hi when I'm on any sort of dirt road and want traction. Also, good to exercise the 4wd system.

So, light bar time. I don't wheel that much at night or really need a light bar but I thought it would do it for fun. The thing I really struggled with was how much to spend. Those sweet baja designs are like $1500 and the budget brands go down to about $80 for the size I was looking for.

I figured I'll limp in with a ebay cheapo, and if I like/use it a bunch I'll upgrade sometime in the future. I picked up one of these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/CREE-42-in...d-For-Chevrolet-Silverado-4X4-43/263425510810 . It does both white and amber lights, don't worry, it won't pull 3k watts, it also doesn't pump out 500k lumens. But it does work! It also comes with a little remote control which is nice because I also haven't fully decided where I'd put the switches.

    Pics or it didn't happen.

Light output, iPhone cam doesn't do it show magnitude of light output.

    Lookin' mean.

All in all, pretty nice. $85 shipped is a cheap investment to see if I actually use it.

Bulldog Canyon this weekend with my brothers. Was pretty fun, rougher than I remembered but the truck did great. I must be increasing my driving skills because I had only minimal pin-striping from this outing. Such a fun and accessible trail for those living in the Phoenix East Valley.

    Lookin' good

Truck is pretty dialed now. Some noises from the UCAs so I'll probably try greasing them soon.

    Recent adventures.

Truck stuff. Have had the RCI skids on for a good 9 months (engine/transmission), finally got around to ordering fuel tank straps because my apparently people don't take Platinums off road and there is no skid plate. Really? Anyway, 45 mins later and done.

RCI Front & Transmission just behind.

Gas Tank, not exactly excited about the exposed nuts/etc but better than no skid tank (I think).

Also, another great mod, bottle opener courtesy of Stone Brewing.
