ADS 3.0" & 2.5" AllPro APEX Sliders SCS SR8 on Cooper ST MAXX 295/70r18
2017 Platinum Magnetic Grey Metallic Crewmax 4X4

    How it sits today:

    Exterior/Performance
    ADS 3.0 Coilovers
    ADS 2.5 Piggy Back
    Camburg 1.5" UCAs
    AllPro APEX Sliders
    Cooper Tire ST Maxx 295/70r18
SCS SR8 18x9 in matte black
    RCI Skids (Engine, Transmission, Gas)
    Bakflip MX4
    Durobump Bumpstops

    Interior/Cosmetic
Suntek 30% Ceramic Tint all around
    3M Crystaline 70% windshield
Badge Dip, Color matched mirrors and handles
    Husky All Weather liners
    Salex Organizers
Matt Gecko LED bed & hood lights

    Offroad/Recovery/Etc
    Tredpro
    Shackles/Strap

    From the beginning:

Figured I'd start cataloging what I'm doing with my new rig. This will be a mild offroad build meant for a comfortable family adventures, camping, skiing, etc.

Pretty much a stock Platinum Tundra w/ TRD Exhaust. Here is the day I picked it up with 14 miles on it. Score!

    Brap!

A couple things I wanted to do for sure were to protect the inside and outside. I picked up some Husky Liners through Amazon and dropped the truck off at Inyati bed liners in Phoenix. Inyati were cool guys, did excellent work, and it was turned around in about 2 hours. The liners are pretty tough molded plastic and fit over everything perfectly.

The final piece for the weekend was doing a little black out on the badges and installing a shorter antenna (it was hitting my garage door). I dipped the 3 badges. I'm holding off on the handles and mirror caps because I think i'll swap them for painted pieces, not sure yet whether I want some black or matched pieces however.

So, the stock tires suck. Was sliding all over the place a couple weeks ago. Swooped on a deal through discount tire direct.

And I returned that spacer kit I got from eBay. Now, how are these fancy tires going to fit (295/70r18) with no spacer? Easy, ADS 3.0" coilovers in the front and 2.5s in the rear with a shackle. I also need some rims, waiting on some matte black SCS SR8s to get in stock.

Welcome from PA. Great looking truck. I will be going with those same wheels in another month or two when I start my next round of mods (tires, wheels, level). I am waiting on the nice weather to return to dip the badges too, since I have to do it outside. It never seems to end with these trucks, but sure is fun.

Had a couple free hours yesterday so I worked on a couple modes. Sway Bar & Chrome Delete. Those front hitch bolts took a little work to get off! Super easy install, took about 30 mins.

For those that have a sway bar, how often do you have to re-grease the bushings?

The chrome has bothered me since the day I got it. I thought about getting some paint match ones, but also think black might be nice. I figured I could try out in black, and if I don't like, or paint doesn't hold up, I can order the proper ones later. Turned out pretty well, a nice textured satin black.

Dealer tint was just the fronts. Tore that off and went with 30% ceramic all around. Should help significantly with heat reduction. Irving @tintcartel did a great job. https://www.instagram.com/tintcartel/ (Chandler, AZ).

Nah, the subs are for my home theater. The 2 12" subs I have left a bit on the table. So I fixed that with a crown amp and dual sealed subs. I tried to finish them piano black with a lot of wet sanding, they came out ok. Look great from about 5', as you get closer you notice imperfections. However, you turn the stereo up and I'm hitting 115db with plenty of room to spare, boom! About the size, the subs weigh about 45lbs each, and the enclosure is probably another 40. They are HEAVY.

    The bad news:

Still a couple weeks out on the ADS shocks, boo.

Will get some more photos once I paint/bedliner/install the sliders. They look good!

Got them all bolted up this weekend. They are heavy and were a pain to do by myself, but once I figured out the proper jack point, I could get them positioned relatively easily and get some bolts in. The passenger side wen't pretty smoothly, took me about an hour to get them on. The driver's side was another story. I had an extra bolt that had no hole, so I had to drill/cut some of the slider. Of course this meant putting it on and taking it off about 5 times, which was a total pain. Additionally, there was one plate that needed to be attached to the frame that was insanely hard to get to, due to the 38 gallon gas tank I have. After about 3 hours, I finally had them on. There are a couple places I need to re-touch up with paint/bedliner due to the extra drilling/etc I had to do, but it will be a good test for when these hit stuff on the trail.

Either way, glad to have them on, and they look sharp.

ADS group buy shipped a little bit ago, and had some time to wrench. Install went mostly straight forward, but took a while because I did it 100% by myself. So situations where I needed another hand I had to get creative. I've also never replaced UCAs, shackles or installed coilovers. With that, photos.

Rear shocks and shackles installed. It was not easy to line up the holes on the springs, not sure what I was doing wrong, but it wasn't even close to easy. Also, fitting the shock mounts in the lower mounts was a bitch. Like the shocks were too wide. I basically had to press them in with a jack and the weight of the truck. Raised the rear to 40.5" from the ground (through center cap), about 1". Took about 2 hours.

Boom. This coilovers are huge. Like big, heavy, and badass. The UCAs are the same. 1.5" uniballs. The whole install took about 5-6 hours taking my time. The passenger side took about 4, drivers about 1. I think for the most part I was figuring what I had to do, and the proper order. Getting the UCAs out was easy, the passenger side UCA bolt was tough because of all the tubes/whatever. Drivers UCA was trivial after loosening the bolt. These bolts are tight. Really tight. 2' breaker bolt tight. Raised the front to 40" from the ground (through center cap), about 3.25".

Just back from alignment. The stock wheels rub on the skid, but those will be gone soon w/ some SCS SR8s. I'll probably still trim it. I was able to get SoCal alignment specs, but my caster is huge. Like ~8* huge. I might have them dial it back because it has really pushed my front axle forward and might have some serious trimming to do.

Still need to do a diff drop, didn't think the coilovers would raise this much.

Curious, how you have 3.25" when there is no preload on the coilovers?
Are those the 2.5 or 3 point ohs?

Also, how are you liking the ADS goodies? Rides well, material/coating holding up well?

    Thanks
