I suppose if people want to work on them on their front yard or personal property.

At first when I saw this post I was a bit tee'd. This is not that unusual at all. Some HOA's don't allow this. Some city ordinances don't allow this, although the "tool" and 24 hour is an overkill of course.

The last place I lived, about 2 miles away here in Aurora a neighbor across the street would buy auction salvage vehicles. Sometimes 4 or 5 parked in his driveway and on the street. All unregistered. Sometimes overflow vehicles on his front yard. He got shut down for good reason. Nothing wrong with maybe having one to fix up but they were all in some sort of state of tear down and he would work on them into the wee hours. Not kuul.

Though I agree with where you are going, they (Germany) also have access to autobahns where speed is of no limit. I could understand not wanting "Jimmy" to hack his suspension, drive 180 and cause a terrible accident/death.

Preaching to the choir. Here in the South, every poor redneck has 3-4 vehicles that haven't run in years. A non-running school bus or tractor is common too. It looks like crap and I hate seeing it.

In my case the neighbor was doing this less than a half block from my granddaughters Elementary school. Sometimes the cars would be blocking the sidewalk so the kids would have to walk out into school traffic.

I might have a skewed idea of what tools are normally found in a home because my dad is a mechanical engineer who grew up on a farm.

I don’t live there. I guess it’s the county residents’ business.
