    A little update:

I have been daily driving my tow rig since my Lexus has been less than reliable lately, so I have over 1500 miles on these tires now.

Traction- These tires grab everything. For an all terrain tire, very impressed. Rocks do get lobbed...FYI.

Towing- The first attempt was a fail due to a crap balance and my shocks were shot. I just installed Bilstein 4600's and the truck is smooth on the highway again. Sad my shocks were shot at ~28K miles. Rancho shocks suck. I am picking up several pallets of rock tomorrow, so I can update this thread on the towing.

Flat spotting- My vehicles are garaged, so this isn't an issue most days. If I am at work for 12 hours in the cold, they do have flat spotting for about a mile. This doesn't bother me as much since they work so well in all the other categories.

I’m running 295/70/18s at 37 psi. Haven’t done the chalk test to see where I’m at yet.

I paid $1,275 + tax for mine (275/65/20 - not sure how the size difference affect the price).

I have 275/65/20 and currently running at 50psi. I had them at 40psi for a while and decided to try 50; been there about 6000 miles. A co-worker who has them on his HD Chevy runs them at 60 psi and suggested I up it for better edge wear. They wear great, less edge feathering than at the lower pressure, but they are hard - I can feel every little bump in the road. Even going over painted striping and arrows etc. on the road I can feel the thickness of the striping as little bumps.

    Damn. 960.00 for mine.

I don’t do the certificates. Never used them, and discount does free flat repair.

Could it be said this is attributed because of the rubber compounds or vehicle weight? Or both? The Queens Nitto G2s are about done with only 18,000 miles on them. Thought about Guinea pigging these on her T4R.

I’m thinking rubber compound, but you never know.

As promised, towing review after rebalance.

XLT’s did very well, but I had to use 4wd in my driveway, but with that kind of weight, not surprised.

35x12.50x20 AT3 Ride is smooth as factory. My daughter also has them on her Jeep. Had a set of Cooper Discover 25 years ago. Still love them.

First major snow fall in Chicago tonite and driving on snow with these are great! I echo @ColoradoTJ that these tires grab everything. Traction in the snow and wet conditions have been great! I like zooming by on 4hi.

I know, offset is what's hurting me. I don't want to pull the trigger until I am sure it will fit without major hacking.

@Boerseun any pics of your truck? I'm planning on 6112/5160 level and do 275/65 20 on stock limited. Just curious how the size looks. Thanks

I pulled the trigger. 295.70.18. I'll start making my bumper shims tomorrow and modding my mud guards.

    Before 275.65.18 18x9 +12

    @Dakar650 , yes, here are a few:
    IMG_20190603_100204.jpg IMG_20190603_100144.jpg IMG_20190813_125828.jpg IMG_20190603_172153.jpg IMG_20191212_172834.jpg IMG_20190530_080000.jpg

My lift is 3/1.5. You will probably have a little less with the 6112s, which will be fine.

@Jim LE 1301 , it is "Racing Development TRD". Subtle way to add 10HP instantly. LOL. Same one on the tailgate.

@Dakar650 they rubbed on the front mud flaps. I took those off. I also bent the ends of the skid plate out of the way as a precaution. No spacers. I am thinking about adding some though, just for looks.

Gentlemen. This is a question for anyone running the Cooper Discoverer XLT in a 295/70/18. What is your ACTUAL tire diameter measuring from the ground to the top most part of the tire once installed? The Cooper website says they should be 34.25" but in my experience tires are usually undersized and are smaller in diameter (sometimes they're 1" smaller depending on the brand). I would greatly appreciate anyone grabbing a tape measure and giving a real world tire diameter for the 295/70/18 specifically.

This will also depend on the rim width. The tire diameter on an 18x8 stock rim will be bigger than a typical aftermarket 18x9.
