After removing that terrible plasti-dip from my bumpers I have finally completed the Raptor bedliner. To me the texture is perfect and this finish is awesome.

    1. Scuffed up the chrome with 80 grit orbital sander. It took about 2 sanding disk per side.
    2. Used some Goo Gone to remove any last bits of the plasti-dip.
    3. Washed the chrome.
    4. Used Was and Grease remover to clean them well.
    5. Applied 2 coats of self etching primer.
    6. Applied 2 coats of Raptor 2K

Sanding took the most time. After the sanding was done all the rest was done in about 2 hours. Easy project with fantastic results.

I used one can of primer and one can of Raptor for the rear. The front chrome I also used one can each.

So looks like it will take one can to do the front bumper next week. Great deal.

I like the texture. Subtle. This is my back up plan if / when my plastidip starts to fail.

I used Rustoleum Turbo bedliner right over my plastidip. Just as an option that works with what you already have.

Went the plastidip route. The glossifier wasn’t quite as glossy on the grill surround and hood bulge. Not sure if it’s because it was plastic or not. Not sure if I’ll eventually get bumpershellz or ypgrade to the Pro grille

If/when you go BumperShellz, please make sure ALL the plastidip has been removed. Otherwise, your Shellz can and will fall off. We've experienced it first-hand
