I believe the '18 pro had the 6112 Bilsteins up front. anyway Jeff had a set of collers and upper spacers that will fit my 6112's and allow me the same lift at a lower circlip setting and replace my CB shims. I am going to keep the cb shims and only use the collars due to the tundra lean... btw 2021 limited trd offroad is what I have with +3 CB shackles. My truck is the one on his website for the Tundra roof rack

update it was the 15-17 not 18...

I'm a little confused now on the Westcott kit. I was under the impression that it was ONLY a preload collar and not an additional "shim". On their website it even states that it will not affect suspension travel. If that's the case, why the need for bumpstop spacers? Wouldn't the need for a bumpstop spacer mean that your up-travel is now limited due to the shock being mounted lower in the perch?

How is this not a spacer lift?

I ordered just the front lift kit. I already have Coachbuilder +2 shackles installed but I’m going to jump on the group buy and go up to the +3.

Thanks for this. I had no clue about the GB. I'm going to hop on and order the +3.

For the group - when is the CB Steering Kit required/recommended?

Not much off roading yet but plan on some trips in the future. I do tow an 18’ fishing boat though.

I did see that. I'm familiar with these from performance vehicles I've owned, so I understand what they do functionally. What I'm wondering is if something like a Westcott kit, which is a pretty moderate lift, warrants a steering kit? Are you planning on running one?

I’m not going to run the steering kit. I’m leaning on going with the full westcott lift after talking to a few that have the full kit. I don’t tow or off road with my truck. And I don’t see that happening. Worst case down the road if I need I will have the coachbuilder shackles added then. I also received mySCS wheels I will be adding them also.

I’m starting to get really confused on this westcott lift. I was wanting to put it on my 21 TRD Pro. All the forums I read and the videos I watch say I can clear 35’s on my factory wheel and only have to remove the front splash guard and the mud flap. I messaged westcott and also called them. They are saying for 35’s I’d have to do a fender push in. Anyone that can offer first hand experience would be great. I was thinking about going with the 305’s instead hoping that it would prevent me from removing the mud flap. Black truck want to try and keep down on road grimes

I’m getting ready to install the Westcott front lift. The only thing I’m worried about is seating the new collar. In one of their YouTube videos Westcott places the shock upside down on the collar between the jaws of a large vice. Then they use a hard plastic mallet and strike the bottom of the shock to seat. My vice would be to small for this method.

Does anyone that installed themselves have any other tips or tricks to seat the preload collar?? TIA

I think there is only 2 ways. The one you just mentioned in the video that westcott hammered it on. My installer is going to use the press machine. Westcott has a video showing it being done.

A press would be the best/easiest way but I don’t have one. Just looking for any other methods or tricks/tips that people have used.

I recommend renting the RIGHT tools needed for the installation. It sure beats a trip to the emergency room and hours of frustration by using the MacGyver method.

I have everything I need except a way to seat the collar- which can be accomplished by applying even pressure either from striking or pressing it. I know plenty of guys have installed themselves. Just seeing if there are any other methods other than the two mentioned above. If none, I’ll find someone with a press or large enough vice.

Installed Westcott front yesterday. I have CB +2 shackles in the rear right now. I have a set of +3 shackles ready to install but I kind of like the look as is. I’ll have to hook my boat up and see what happens….

I would reallllllly love to hear experiences from those folks who have either the CB kit or the Westcott and THEN put a bumper/winch (or both) in their vehicle. This is the singular thing that is keeping me from purchasing one of these. If anyone has any input im sure im not the only guy on here whos pondering this one!

Can I bother you with checking what's the distance from center of the wheel to the bottom of your wheel well opening in the rear?

Any of you guys getting bump steer after the Westcott install? I get it mostly at lower speeds. On bumpy roads I get a lot of feedback through the steering wheel. On smooth roads truck tracks perfectly straight and smooth. I’m confident in my alignment guy but wonder if theres more that can be done to eliminate the bump steer.

So I went with the Westcott Fox TRD Pro kit. In the rear I kept my CB +2 shackles and just added the 1” block. No difference in ride quality at all in fact it’s better with the alignment! I also have the rear sway bar and decided to flip the sway bar ubolts 90degrees on the axel to avoid any issues. Also had to do the ABS/BrakeLine relocation kit to avoid tension in the stock ABS and brake lines with added height.

    Before and After.

I’ve had this kit and not had any time to put it on. The plan is to do it in the morning. After looking through the box I found 4 washers I’m not sure what to do with. Any ideas?

This is exactly what came in my kit. Are you saying you have extra washers in there?

The 4 washers to the left. After some research I’m pretty sure they are bump stop spacers
