Naw. I use my Stihl Farm Boss for real cutting, but my Ryobi 40v for small or quick projects.

Upgraded to an MS400c with a 25" bar earlier this year. Quite a step up from the MS362, and i loved that one. The 25" bar came in handy cutting firewood from a 30" dbh water oak recently.

I also have an MS400c. And, you’re correct. It runs circles around the 362. Definitely not a torquey 462, but bridges the gap nicely between the old options.

Had a couple of dead limbs on my apple tree that I needed to take off. Grabbed my Stihl MS290 (Farm Boss), which was running last year, and couldn't get it to start. After I ran it last, I had drained the fuel and ran it dry for storage. Looked around my shed and saw my old McCulloch ProMac 610 sitting on a shelf in the rafters. This saw is 45 years old and was last saw action 6 years ago. I had drained the fuel and ran it dry before pulling the spark plug, adding a teaspoon of oil in the cylinder, pulling the starter cord a few times, replaced the spark plug, and placing it on the shelf for storage. I took the McCulloch down from the shelf, added fresh fuel/oil, and it ran on the 4th pull. In fact, it runs really well but is heavy as hell when compared to a newer model. They just don't make them like that any more.

Was using my ancient Stihl HT75 pole saw yesterday and it needs a rebuild/tuning. Likes to die under load. Definitely nice to have though as it makes cutting branches quick and from the ground. I rock a MS250/362 for most things, need a bigger guy though.

Cs490 punches above its class and has been running strong for years. Haven’t needed to bring it in anywhere.
muffler mod and tuned the carbs a bit.
I consistently saw 24”+ oaks without a problem.
Yes I could use a bigger saw but that’s the only saw I have.

Really handy for trimming those branches that are way up there!!!
Climbing a ladder and using a chainsaw is sketchy as Hell!!
