My 2004 came new with a garage door opener option and a sunglass holder option. I could swap them out as needed.

My truck came with the button attachment to swap out for the sunglasses holder. Same as @tunyota in post #24, and @mtntop in post #31.

It's always been in one of the floor cubbies under the rear seat.

Anybody know if this piece from a sequoia will fit an 06 double cab?

The back seat air duct doesn’t leave a lot of room for wiring behind that piece.

Figures the sequoia has a tons of room, I’ll give it a look. It’d be so clean to put switches right there was the thought

Thanks for nothing Toyota. I took the switch bezel out of my wife’s sequoia for a test fit. Bezel fits, until you add switches like @Darkness mentioned. Test fit was done with a Cali raised led oem style switch. D1D49136-AC4E-4E15-B483-C16146B21FF0.jpg
Sequoia has room for days. No air duct.

Stupid air duct in the tundra. Wonder how the sequoia’s air ducts run:monocle:. For these trucks to be so similar, they’re way different

*I do think you could possible add a 3rd switch to the tundra but that would involve buying a bezel from a sequoia and tundra and cutting it up and glueing it together.

That's interesting because it looks exactly like what I did with my 03.

I had to take a dremel to the side of the housing to open it up for switches though. Like so:

@Kimosabe, Man that’s what I’d like to do, but that air duct for the rear seats is in the way on the double cabs.

I’m seriously jelly though because it looks so clean

My b/u camera monitor sits in that space instead.

Hope everyone's Saturday is going well.

I just received and installed a USB & 3.5mm extension which fits in the 12v power socket and connects to the Pioneer head unit so I no longer have wires hanging loosely. I am really please and would recommend it to anyone who may be considering a similar solution.

    Looks good @tunyota

I guess the double-cabs are different in the rear air ducts. Mine has rear air passing under the console, but the new one doesn't interfere. I would think it would work though since it's off a newer sequoia.
