I could literally watch it 300 times doesn't change the fact you showed us two draws. One where you point it straight at the dash and one where you move it across your lap pointing it out the door. What do you not understand about your own video? I am mind blown at this point.

P.S Did any one expect you to actually fire off a round in a video demonstrating how you draw your weapon?? Come on

Not to be argumentative, but what is the optimal place to mount a firearm in a vehicle without drawing it at the dash? Even if the weapon is holstered on your hip, you're drawing it at the dash. SOB holster - forget it. Appendix carry is difficult in a vehicle if you wear a seat belt. If it's in a shoulder rig, you're still drawing it in a direction that is encumbered. Door mounts probably wouldn't do any good unless you're left handed, and console mounts take too long to access and clear.... I'm not trying to be a dick, I truly want to know the correct/best answer.

Jesus man, the first draw was simply to demonstrate a draw. It wasn't meant to impress internet rednecks. It was literally the first 5 minutes after installing, and getting a feel for it.

The second draw I avoided flashing my own body.. dont they teach you that in TN redneck militia school?

He's going to say body, but it's difficult as hell to draw from a sitting position with a center console and a seatbelt on.

I don't mind suggestions and criticism, but just being a dick out of nowhere deserves to be treated as such.

Your 2 draw had nothing wrong with it. My point was why are you drawing it and pointing it at the dash? That would never be a scenario just as you have mentioned. I was more so making fun of it and then you asked to elaborate even though I knew you were just doing it to see how quickly you could get it out of the holster. But on a lighter note you shouldn't remove your weapon from your person and put it in a holster in your car. You should always have it on you. How many law enforcement officers take their weapons off to sit in their car? When you get yanked out of your car now you have no gun or when you have to hop out really fast thats more time it takes to get the gun. you should want that thing attached to you at all time. Im no professional by any mean. I learn new things everyday just like everyone else and I make mistakes. But being a LEO for 14 years I have seen bad things go down when that weapon is not attached to the person.

The whole point of your video I understood I was just cracking a joke about the first draw thinking hmm prob get a yeah the radio sucks so I shot it not the other way around

Trust me I can draw my weapon from my side and get a round off faster than you can from that holster BUT thats from years of training to do it that way. Im sure I could train myself to do it faster from the way your holster is too

Is the double sided tape still holding strong? I tried velcro too and in time the velcro kept undoing.

I wonder if double sided tape would work for the maglite clips as well.

I'm still trying to figure out a holster situation myself, Andrews makes a holster called the "Carjacker," and I had one for a while but the weight of the gun causes the seatbelt to sag and you spend half the time tugging on it. Usually IWB 04:30, or a high ride Leather Safariland Paddle.

I just joined the forum. Saw this thread. Perfectly legal in Texas with or without an LTC. After 9-1-2021 it can also be visible, prior to that it MUST be concealed. Even with an LTC. I'm the President of Texas Handgun Association. I have an online LTC class that is super easy for the classroom part, you still need to go to the range to do range qualification. Range must be done in the state of Texas. https://onlinetexasltc.com/CFIT

Here is my solution. Removed the trim around the shifter to install some AJT pieces. While off I put a magnet at knee level with 3m. On the interior I applied another magnet. Boom, rock solid mount, no drilling.

I have never had box store double sided tape ever work. Always comes off...I use a 3M product VHB (very high bond). incredible. I buy the 2" roll on Amazon.
What I do...ymmv of course. Clean both surfaces with 4-0 steel wool with alcohol. Cut the tape to correct size. One side has a plastic film protector. Do not touch the sticky side.
It is Pressure Activated. Put in place on one surface pressing HARD on the plastic film. Then peel the film off...press your stick on piece with appropriate hard pressure.
I use this in our RV coach for everything, including cutting small pieces to stick up LED light strips. I'm told auto manufacturers use this 3M VHB for trim pieces, badges and chrome trim.
It is VERY difficult to remove if installed properly. think there is video on Youtube if interested. GL Thomas

OMG. I just told my wife about joining here within the last hour...good info and seemed like very nice polite conversations...Then the start of insulting all of Tn, me included as Rednecks, militia school etc...That is just ignorant and unnecessary. This is sad on my first day here to put up with such ignorant bullsh**. I am proud to be a Real Estate Investment Broker/Owner...neither I nor any of my friends here are rednecks. I may have to consider leaving this group if this continues and this is the caliber/mentality and intelligence level of members. That crap is not necessary.

Just ignore the idiots, that’s what the rest of us do. Hopefully the moderators will either warn the poster or take the post down and ban them going forward. There some smart ass comments here and there, but they aren’t to offend anybody. I’m hoping you’re not the type that gets offended by everything.

Easy with that potty mouth of yours, you might offend someone..

If you are that easily offended, this forum may not be for you.

    To the topic at hand;
I used Chicago screws to mount magnets in my Lockrdown vault.
    It dropped right in.

Wait a minute. Did you change your name from cmiller to Thom? Seems you might not be the victim you are claiming to be. Totally cool to be corrected if I'm wrong about the name change.

I like it. I need to find flashlight clips for a smaller LED light.
