I bought the locker down safe (12 gauge steel) bought an extra serpa holster for my Glock 30. Then made a template of the screw holes in the rear of the holster which I used to drill holes in the safe. Next I purchased 8/32 screws which were near exact length with one rubber washer to mount the holster directly to the safe side wall. Here it is. image.jpgimage.jpg

thats why i love ga. In GA your vehicle is an extension of your home and no permit is required to have it in there. i do have a cc permit also but some of you might want to look into the law....a lot of states do not require a permit inside of your vehicle....but out of your vehicle it does....this is a great mod i might do it with my little pf9....its a fairly inexpensive gun, just in case it gets stolen, dont want my nice stuff in there....

A lot of states are like that west of the Mississippi River.

I like the people actually taking a proactive approach on securing their firearms in vehicle if they need to leave them inside for a short time. Only time I am not wearing mine is in my kids schools or in a federal/city building.

It's made by Gum Creek Handgun Mounts. It has a rubber coated hook at the top and at the bottom with an adjustable strap.

So you can draw the weapon with one hand then? Looks like a great setup for the 3rd gen owners.

Yeah. I had it mounted under my steering column in my 02 Tacoma. It took me a while to figure out where I could mount in my Tundra. Once I did, I was happy with the set up and reach.

So I just joined today and this is one of the first threads I went through. It is always nice to see what others have done for their CCW. I did this mod a year or two ago. I wanted a way to mount my Ruger SR9 and keep all the factory options of my center console, but how to do that with the shallow compartment storage n the middle of that huge console. I kinda wanted to keep that shallow compartment of the center console, because it was a good place to mount my Ruger and it held a lot of my most used small stuff. I also wanted more room in the console for bigger things like my iPad and notebooks. So I looked for a way to "move" the shallow compartment. As you can see by the pics below, I ended up moving the shallow compartment all the way over and mounted it into the console itself. I did this with about (4) 3/4" screws and being sure NOT to go all the way through the console. Then I mounted a BlackHawk SERPA holster in the shallow console. Everything is rock solid and easy to get to if needed. Hopefully these pictures turned out.

In CA, CCW up to the sheriff of each county. They have this idea of "good cause" and every Sheriff interprets it according to his or her notion of whether people should carry guns. For some, you have to prove that your life or your family's life is in immediate danger. For others, you have to prove you know which leg goes into which side of your pants.

I'm in the process of getting my CCW, the process is simple but takes roughly 5 months. Could be the background search or the qty of people in Kern County requesting the license...

sorry, it didn't come with a stock holster. I have an alien gear IWB 3.0. love it! lifetime warranty and lifetime replacement of the holder if you change your weapon (i.e. carry a smith and change to a springfield etc...) and made in the stars and bars! ill post a pic when I get home. I can also conceal with just a t-shirt, thing is sweet!
