    Thanks for the replies.

    I don't want to wait 8 months.

I personally doubt they would make aftermarket parts that result in an engine code. Could they only last a couple years before rusting or throwing codes? I think that is possible. I think I can bolt on aftermarket myself, as well as hook up new O2 sensors.

I'm not going to buy a cat shield when I have no cats. Once I get OEM back on, if I go that route, then I will buy a cat shield. If you go aftermarket, far less likely they are stolen unless the perp is do dumb they don't know if they are looking at OEM or aftermarket - which is highly possible, they are a criminal who steals cats.

This Sequoia is in great shape and I intend to keep 5+ years, but it has 189K miles on it and I drive it about 5K per year.

Thanks. Actually, this was a rhetorical question. I am hoping my Valhalla shield will do the job. I was just wondering about worst case scenarios as opposed to waiting.

I don't think perps can tell the difference between OEM and aftermarket and I doubt they care.

Order the shields now so you have them by the time your new cats arrive.

it depends what set you purchase, for example I purchased the set for the TRD Pro 8 bolts and there are 4 3/8” bolts and 4 1/2” bolts.

I went with Rock Hard 4x4 medium bolt head protectors for what it’s worth, they come powder coated black already so the won’t rust.
