We used to use Arm & Hammer with previous two cats; for some reason it wasn’t controlling odors with our current two cats, so now we use:

One of the previous two was a diabetic* most of his life, so both ate special Rx food. This time around, we’ve been successful feeding this:

    * in my experience, if a cat was successful using a litter box, then isn’t, it may signal a medical issue— some cause increased urine production, and cats don’t want to stand in it... so if the litter can’t absorb fast enough, they’ll pee outside of the box. Clues this is the reason for the misses include: litter tracked more than a few feet away from the box, litter stuck in cat’s paws, increased water consumption.

The best option is a vet eval, then more absorbent litter, clean the box more often.

With our dog on her last days, we decided to go back to cats considering the kids are grown and we miss having cats. This time with the kittens we started them with Pellets. Keeping the smell down is always a battle but the pellets seem to do a good job if you filter and replenish (I do them once a week) Yes I scoop out the poop daily. I got 3, 5 gallon buckets cut the bottom out of one and installed a screen so I can filter the used pellets and not waste so much, this cuts down on cost of the pellets. The thing I like the most about the pellets is they don't track near as bad as all the rest of the products.
