I guess it depends on the dealer. Some dealers are better than others in how they handle /treat their customers. I like to bring donuts or cookies every so often. I have found that buys a great deal of good will....LOL!
The service department I'm currently using is not the dealer I bought from. With that said, I have had good interaction with them. Again, donuts go along way...

I was thinking maybe a six-pack but not give it to them until they are through with my truck. LOL!

I bought 6 yr 75k mile warranty for $1000 when I bought my truck a few months ago. It is a 2014 with 19000 miles. I figured it is enough for the time I will own the tundra before I trade it for a new one. Platinum coverage. It appears that they can vary the time and mileage and you can negotiate price (they started at $1800). Was told I can cancel anytime for a pro-rated refund.

I'm going with a 9 year 125,000 mile warranty since I tend to keep my vehicles a long time and put miles on them. I can tell you, from just the dealers prices around me, Brian Hyman is great to deal with. If anyone is thinking about getting one, give him a call.

Dang, Steve! I tend to shy away from warranties that may live longer than me LOL! Seriously, that should provide plenty of peace of mind! What all is covered in that warranty?

Well, when your as old as, Er uhm...never mind...LoL!!:drunk:
I tend to get attached to my vehicles. Our last few vehicles have gone from 140,000 to 220,000 miles. Once I get something, I tend to hold on to it. Hopefully my wife subscribes to that thought process and keeps me...:):p

I understand......I keep my trucks forever as well. My last truck lasted me from 1997 until 2015, Ha! My wife has lasted me 45 years but is starting to show signs of wear. May be time for an upgrade or at least add some mods....

Thanks guys! I'm signing up for a 8-year/75,000-mile TFS VSA due to the low annual mileage that I use my truck. Brian is sending me the paperwork.

A personal side benefit for me is that I can cancel the private roadside assistance program we had before purchasing new vehicles (yes, I've used it several times and already used ToyotaCare). My TFS VSA will cost less per year than my previous roadside assistance program subscription did. I know this isn't the case for most, but thought I'd pass this on.

Hendrick Toyota in Apex NC. Was only good day of purchase and they will not sell the platinum warranty afterwards as some of these dealers are doing.

FYI for anyone that comes across this post. You can no longer buy a warranty from a dealer from out of state unless you bought the vehicle from them. Toyota stopped it. So you will have to check with all the dealers that are in your state to find the best price

Hi All, New to the forum. Buying soon our first Toyota Tundra! Just checking on info on whether I can negotiate with them when we buy regarding the price of the warranty! I bought it for my 2015 Corolla but did not negotiate or think to for that! Paid for it sep, so I did not finance that. We tend to keep our vehicles forever. Still have our 2001 Honda Civic and 2001 Dodge Dakota both bought new and still running! Daughter drives the Honda and Husband drives the Dodge till the new Tundra comes! Any suggestions on how to go about it?

I just purchased my warranty. Not from the dealer I got my truck in california. Saved almost 1000 bucks on a 10 year 125000 miles 0 deductible. Can not say exact amount. But I called over 20 dealers she was the best price. She asked not to post prices. I started a thread under has warranty with all her info

Most important she sell OUT of state. The dealers doing this are drying up so if you are on the fence I suggest you jump. Or you will have to buy in state and be prepared to be bent over.
