Yup! The body odor burned my hair and the people that had to sleep in my tent

It was a mountaineering instructor course, so yeah....it was quite the rugged and odor encouraging activity based trip

The people I was with were probably just as bad, but I couldn’t smell/see through the fuzzy haze and wasn’t able to detect the others

I like all but the last part. I think bathing in cold mountain streams. Midday, when it's warmest, builds better character than stinking for a week. Plus, I've learned that when I'm clean, I stay warm better than when I'm not. I have no idea what this is about, or if there's anything to it other than anecdotal evidence, but I've noticed it consistently over the years.

If you aren't going too far, anything can work really. You'll also get a feel for things you'll want to change. I did a 10,000 mile road trip with my son, in a friggin impala with a bullmastiff. It was an amazing experience. We only stayed in a tent (Sierra Designs wuhu 4+2 two room), had a collapsible table, a two burner stove with mini tanks, cooler ($50 dollar one from Walmart). Your idea for a bug room is a good idea , especially if it rains and you need to cook. I cooked in my two room tent when it was pouring. Yeti offer mil discount if you qualify. I feel they will pay themselves off over time with the amount of ice you go through with the cheap ones. I bought a fridge because I'm sick of the soggy foods and hassle of water in the cooler. Cots are the most ideal for car camping. They make some really great ones. I recommend not skimping though, as quality makes a difference.
