It was easiest for me to have the dealer make the fix as warranty.

Dealer in Georgia fixed it today. Said it needed to be recalibrated when I came in. Showed them the notes on the fix. Approx 120 min, but now I lost the TRD camera view. Guess I’ll get it redone at the 5k oil change. Also on a side note, said the check button in the computer to auto roll down the windows with the key fob was grayed out.

I use often the feature pressing the fob button to roll down the windows. You can activate this feature yourself in the Carista app.

Possible fix! I had the same issue with a brand new 2024 Tundra. The camera stopped working when I slowed down below 10mph but the camera did turn on in reverse so put it in reverse, switched a couple settings at the bottom of the screen (doesn’t matter which settings but I made sure “auto” was turned on) then put it in drive and drove slow to keep the cameras on. Hit a couple settings again just in hopes it would trigger it to recognize the camera in drive, and it worked. No idea why this worked but now when I slow down in drive the overhead parking camera turns on.

Happened to me on Tuesday, looks like I'll have the dealer handle it during my next service.

Has anyone had to get theirs recalibrated twice? Seems to be a consistent problem with most 2024s that occurs in the first few thousand miles, 6 months like maybe something could be improved at the factory. Once recalibrate it does not reoccur.

Does anyone know if this is the same procedure to use on the Tundra? I have tried searching the forum but didn't see anything specific on it. I had to have my upper break light replaced due to it being cracked in a hail storm. My particular upper break light has the cameras in it and after replacement the cameras need to be recalibrated and I wanted to see if I could try and calibrate myself before I take it in to Toyota to try and fix.

Dealer got mine fixed yesterday, took them quite a while to get it figured out.

It's a shame how you pay 65k for a truck- the camera system fails & the dealer can't figure out what's wrong! Disgrace! I had a 2007 Tundra- guess how many times it was at the dealer?!? Yup 0! 0! 175kmiles on the tried & true 5.7l, 0 trips to the dealer!

This should not be tolerated when purchasing a $65k + new vehicle & Toyota should be forced into a recall! This is absolutely pathetic!

My favorite reply from the MORONS on here that say "just take it back to the dealer" yeah hole cause I got all the time in the world to make frequent dealer trips, for them to tell me " I don't know"! Pathetic! Toyota should face a class action law suit for this, I mean after all time is $

485 miles and I got the bug! Got the trailer malfunction warning first and then no predictive lines in any mode, most views disabled and greyed out and the trailer button on the dash isn’t working. Appointment at the dealer on Wednesday…

Just picked mine up from the dealer, they had to “re-initialize” my cameras and then re-calibrate them. I’m back in business now!
On another note, I can’t find that off-road view that some people had earlier in this post, looked everywhere. I have the TRD off-road package on my truck too. Wonder if that’s on available on the Pro?

Thanks to OP and all of the posts. I am having this same problem with my '24 Sequoia Platinum and it started around 4 months and 5000 miles. Limited camera views and lost the backup lines. I was able to get into the service menu by using the "swipe method" - there's a YouTube video out there that provides more detail "How to Enter service mode on a current Toyota or find your IMEI number." Note - the swipe method won't work if you are connected to Apple Car Play. The camera diagnostic check gives an error code of "RoB Code 2624." I'm taking it to the dealer next week for a few issues and I'll let everyone know how it goes. I did have a weird thing happen where the 4H and 4L were blinking orange on the dash right around the time I noticed I didn't have the backup lines anymore. Not sure if they are related, but putting it out there in case others experience similar things with Tundras and Sequoias.

Thanks for the tip about accessing the Service menu via 5 swipes. It's by the same guy (Steve Welch) who posted how to re-calibrate the camera guides on a Sienna (page 1 of this thread).

Mine in for round #3. First one took 3 days to recalibrate. Lasted about 2 months. Round 2, they did not recalibrate, but did some kind or reset while in for 10k service. Calibration was off, lines skewed, etc. That only lasted about a week. Just got a call from dealer, said they have a service ticket in with Toyota Engineering, and supposedly a service bulletin is being issued (but not yet out). So essentially, they don't know how to fix it, and Toyota doesn't exactly have it figured out yet either.

Same thing happened to me with the off calibration (lines visibly wider than the truck in reverse and through the 360 view). In addition, my Multi-Terrain Monitor view was lost as well. I was also told it is in Toyota's hands and no fix is available at the moment. 2024 SR5 w/ TRD Off-Road Premium

Ops.. looks like even brand new trucks in dealers' inventory already have this problem. This is an example from the pics they are showing on the website (image looks exactly like the one first posted on this thread):

My rear camera View has failed again, for the 2nd time. Guess I schedule a new visit to recalibrate again.

Nothing yet. I did contact Toyota Corp and they confirmed that a service bulletin is being created, but they did not know when it would be issued. The last contact I had with them was Nov. 26

Visited dealer service today to correct the rear camera VIEW problem. 7,400mi, Round 2 visit to fix this problem. They made a recalibration, but advised they want to replace the "ECU". Part is on order.

Bought my 24 Tundra back in August. Got the camera bug at a little over 1000 miles in September. Waited until my recent 5000 mile service to have a dealer fix the issue. Explained to them that I read this thread and a ton of people have had the same thing happen. Told them that the fix seems to be a recalibration of the cameras.

After the 5000 mile service was done, they told me they had to call corporate about what the issue may be. They basically couldn't just take my word for it, which is understandable. Corporate ends up telling them it's the cameras that need to be recalibrated. At this point in the day I was told I'd have to leave my truck over night. Told them to make me an appointment for a different day.

Had my follow-up appointment this week. Truck was at the dealer all day, but they recalibrated everything and I'm back in business.

Thanks for sharing and the thorough update. My 3rd visit to address this problem which will replace the ECU is scheduled for 2/12 and I will report.

2025 trd off road on my end. Trailer guide malfunction, cameras stopped working. Dealer stated that truck looses calibration, so a calibration was done. Cameras came back on but now my off roading camera is not showing

Well I’m back all. Opened my hood to dig out some tumbleweeds from a long distance drive, closed the hood and on the next start it all happened again. Not sure if the hood open and close had anything to do with it at all, could be coincidental. Unless, the front camera gets knocked around when you close the hood and it causes it to “lose” calibration? The TRD off-road grill is super flexy, too flexible in my opinion!

Dealer replaced the ECU to resolve the lost camera problem and avoid additional recalibrations. So far it is working fine.

Anyone else get an ECU replacement, and is it holding? I have not heard anything from Toyota or my dealer since November. Called my dealer today, no help, suggested I call Monday and the guy who knew more would be in. I emailed him a month ago with no reply. I put anther case in with Toyota today.

I go to the ECU replacement back in September I have a 24 Nightshade limited and every thing works great still. They even added the off-road toggle when they did the replacement.
