    Hey guys,

Another treat from my 2022 this morning. Went to gas up first thing for our 4th trip and realized none of the camera views work aside from the rear view.

When I click the camera view button while driving the tailgate view comes up black. Oddly enough the rear view mirror camera still works and I still get top down view which uses most of the cameras.

Dealer can’t look at it until next week. Have any of you experienced this? Anyway to reset the camera system, aside from hard MMI reset with the volume knob?

Camera view options still show up but cannot be clicked - see attached picture.

Cheers to a happy 4th of July

I did reset using the volume knob, no dice. Is there another option aside from disconnecting the battery?

    Thanks

I had the same issue that seemed to be an Android Auto conflict. It resolved itself after shutting off and restarting the truck though. If you're using AA you may want to disable and see your camera views come back.

I’m using CarPlay but restarting didn’t help. The cameras still work in the diagnostic menu… Truck threw a fault code regarding some kind of electrical failure, RoB 2624. Back to the dealer she goes…

I had to take it in to the dealership, it took them over a week to figure it out. They told me it was a software issues and that their techs spent 20 hours on it.

Did they say what the software issue was or what they had to do to resolve it?

It lost connection they had to call Toyota they couldn’t figure it out but I’m not surprised it was one of the two things I suggested since my off road camera still isnt working I’m going to assume I need a new harness but they reestablished the connection and got the main ones working again no issues since but this was last week so we’ll see how long it last I love the truck but not happy with the quality

    Go. Back. To. The. Dealership.

This whole thread shows that is the solution because it's a software thing. That aside, if you have less than a 1000 miles ANY problem means the answer is going to be "go back to the dealership."

Revisiting this thread. I had the camera issue start today. I think it may have started a couple of days ago but just noticed it today. I'm starting to think it is related to Carista being plugged in, the timing is just to much of a coincidence. My cameras were all suddenly were disabled just after using the carista to disable noise and adjust ac.

The interesting thing is the 360 camera still works when in park and the backup camera still comes on when in reverse. It is just the camera button that is malfunctioning as well as the auto on feature when slowing down.

Are you saying you left the Carista device plugged into your OBD2 port or did you remove it after making your changes? Either way, I doubt this is the cause of your issues but anything's possible.

FWIW, I've had a Carista dongle plugged in for over 3 months and have not had any issues. Been using it to connect to the Car Scanner app for the gauges.

Need to get some other forum members that are XBox or Play Station gurus and figure out the magic combination to turn them back on like Steve shows in this video for a Sienna...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kP9OBSJOZJo

Edit: at 1:10 he does his magic with touch of a button and turn headlights on/off 3 times enters in maintenance mode on multimedia display.

I unplugged after I was finished adjusting. I have turned off all Bluetooth and wifi connections and restarted everything several times and no luck. I'm sure its a software glitch since everything functions with the 360.

It's fixed. Took about 3 hours total at the dealship this morning. I bet part of that was talking to Toyota. The service manager claimed a recalibration but I suspect it was more because I got new buttons!

Yep - this happened to me two weeks ago. No views, no trailer guidelines, no longer can choose view options. 2024 Tundra iForce Max Platinum into Toyota....have to order part - Break Assist on emergency parking break gone bad and needs replacement according to diagnostics.....yet to be determined if corrects issue and will post update after potential resolution. Approximately 4 week part order....4,000 miles.

I'd love to know what the Aux camera thingy is. My '22 limited doesn't have that, and I'd love to figure out how to have a wireless trailer camera hook up to the screen.

I noticed this happening on my 2024 Tundra 1794 w/ approx 1000 miles. Called dealer; appointment next week. Service advisor confirmed he'd seen the issue recently and it needed a software update / flash.

Mine has done the something. My screen looks just like yours. Taking it in today to see if they can fix it this afternoon. I had the tailgate button disabled on the key fob and it was just a few days after that that this happened. Don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.

I am having the same problem with a 2024 limited TRD with 1450 miles. I took it into the dealership today and they said it was caused by the larger tires (34”) that I installed at 50 miles. The height change requires all of the sensors to be recalibrated and is not covered under warranty. Cost quoted to correct was 2 hours - $570. Do you have stock tires on your Tundra? Thanks.

Sounds like your dealer is trying to make some extra cash at your expense.

Mine did it this morning and yesterday. After throwing a trailer system malfunction. All guides were gone and the camera system while moving was black with the yellow triangle and the camera system buttons on screen no longer worked. Its at the dealer now it will be interesting to see what they say!

Update dealer said the ECU for the Electric Park Assist died and the ECU is on back order with no ETA. So they gave me my truck back and that was that. I'm now on the waiting list. Whelp.

My 2024 iForce Max Limited with 900 miles is having similiar issues to yall. No more parking sensor bars on the screen, cannot change to the side or rear camera views, etc. I guess I need to schedule a service visit.
