Bravo! Happy ending to a completely avoidable saga. Lessons learned all around, I hope

Glad it worked out but for the life of me I can’t figure out why anyone would care enough to try and protect a Camaro like that.

I’ve seen enough Camaros with 3 or less wheels on blocks in the front yard to know you’re not alone in that thinking. They were slightly older, but...

I don't know why they don't do what their Cadillac cousins did for decades and hide the lock behind an emblem, or even behind the license plate.

If he plans on storing the car in the container again, he should really consider using a car cover and installing some type of exterior fresh air vent that will allow for air circulation in the container. Condensation can be a big issue with long term storage in shipping containers during the winter........and crazy heat in the summer. Those containers are pretty tight. The vent could be as simple as installing one or two of those roof-top spinning/turbine vents on the roof of the container.....just make sure he has a good watertight seal where the vent is attached to the roof of the container......so rain water or water from melting snow can’t find its way into the container. If it was me, I’d go with side vents on opposite sides of the container. With maybe a small solar powered fan to circulate the air. My friend uses a small fan to circulate the air throughout the interior of his shrink wrapped boat when it’s on the hard.....he also uses desiccant tubs. His fan is technically solar powered because he has a solar panel on the roof of the boat to maintain the deep marine batteries.

If you can’t open the trunk how do you access a tail light bulb?

I'd have just called a tow truck to pull it out. Easy peasy.
