Actually, I have cali raised sliders and their pretty awesome and high quality. That said, I had to go back twice to get em since their quality control didn't notice big gashes in my rhino lining. And I had to open the hardware kit in front of the worker, it was missing a few bits that they added in. Glad I checked or else I would have had to go back a 3rd time.

Awesome and high quality, does not compute to three tries to get it right, which they didn’t even do without intervention.

Not to pour gas on the fire here, but I've had my trusty Auxbeam 32" stashed in my bumper valence for 4 years (with harsher winters than most on this forum) and except for some pitting/corrosion of the paint and metal from the NaBr used on the roads here, that $90 light turns dark roads into daylight every time I push the switch. I'm not jumping desert whoops or crawling rocks but it lights up the dark like I need it to.

Fuck I just read the whole thread and didn't get to find out what was causing the rattle :frusty:

I had Caliraised lights on my first Tundra and they were fine. I don't know if they are different now, but at the time it seemed pretty apparent that they were just cheap Chinese lights that they stamped their name on, you could probably buy the same exact lights on ebay for cheaper.
Their ditch brackets were really nice, but I've heard that they changed them at some point and they aren't as solid as they were.
I have since moved on to lighting money on fire and I'm a Baja Designs fanboy now.

I understand not wanting to install a lightbar that rattles without knowing exactly what it is, I'd be paranoid about a short.

I don't think anyone has. We can either have one person collect the money, and document exactly how much they've received from each person publicly so we're sure there isn't an over-collection of money, nor any shenanigans. Or we could have @helidave share his Venmo or something, and trust him not to over-collect.

I've had a good experience with ExtremeLED. They're popular on the 4runner forum, that's where I found them. They seem to source the same bars that come from CaliRaised but have a good reputation. CR appears to have been started by a kid while in highschool. Not to knock him, good for him. He seems very well off owning multiple companies and a hunting ranch while attending a 20k per year private high school. Returning lightbars is probably really low on his list of priorities.
