Ordered a 32" light bar and when I got it something inside was rattling around. They sent another, and something inside that one was loose as well. Got the third replacement today, and guess what... exactly the same. So I emailed them for the millionth time and the owner of the company emailed me back and said it's perfectly fine, that they should never have sent another bar in the first place, and that his "engineer" said it's not an issue that internal parts of the light bar are loose. I told him that I didn't think a $260 light bar should have pieces flopping around inside and he said I could return it if I paid for shipping and a 15% restocking fee. So now after a month of going back and forth with these guys, my choices are keep the poorly-built thing or lose like $60 returning it.

Glad I went with another company the other day when I ordered my 30” bar, I’m not happy with there ditch light kit either, had not even 10 months and they look like they went thru hell and back already…paint peeling off and lenses yellowed bad!! I see there customer service is as good as there products as well, they lost money from me again…

For the record I have their light bar and mount. Zero issues. Decent quality. High price to value ratio compared to the expensive brands.

I think I read somewhere else on here that another member has the EXACT same issues, that blows. Also, NO it should not be ok to hear something rattling around on a brand new product that expensive regardless of what the engineer says. Bummer for you, I hate to hear things like this.

    Working on it!
I had a similar experience with Cali on their sliders. They did not send enough fasteners with the shipment. Their install instructions (crappy) show a different amount than the online video.

I, too, was on a call with an engineer and literally had to "encourage" him to walk through how many hard-bolt points each slider had, look at the picture of their instructions parts list and what I received, and count them. It took me a couple of emails and calls to get them to agree, but I did get the replacement pieces sent to me.

I have the short light bar from them too...stealth brackets. Didn't have rattles and works fine.

The guy that emailed me today was Blake Hamar, who I assumed was the owner because UPS shows Hamar Industries as the shipper.

I doubt he would have anything new to say that he hasn't already told me via email. The only reason I started this thread was so other people find it when searching caliraised and don't make the same mistake I did.

I also have their ditch lights and light bar with no issues. One ditch light was bad and a replacement was sent next day air on their dime. Customer service was excellent. It sucks you’re experience wasn’t the same, but I don’t like seeing companies bashed for a select few incidents. Good luck in your decision.

Their customer service could have been excellent in this case too if it wasn't for him now insisting that there's nothing wrong with it after agreeing it was defective and replacing it twice already. They have been quick to respond to emails and send replacements. I could have lived with having a few week delay to get a good product, but they failed to follow through. The guy needs to sack up, admit they got a bad batch or something, and make it right.

So find an appropriate tool, open the thing up and see whats rattling around. It can't be that hard, when you figure it out, put the loose nut back where it belongs, move on. Take a pic, send it to "owner of the company", let him know what you found. While your at it, take a video of the disassembly, showing the problem, post it on YouTube. Pass the link along in the letter... might do some good!

Buy once cry once doesn't always apply. Depends on your use and budget. I really dislike the buy once cry once thingy....

I’d be worried that you wouldn’t be able to return it after cracking it open and poking around inside.

Also, it shouldn’t be the customer’s responsibility to fix things for the manufacturer (assuming the defect is legitimate).

x2. Fit for purpose comes to mind. So many people spend thousands on lighting they only truly use a few times a year.

I see: first you posted to the DO NOT BUY thread (fair enough; this is why we have such a thread) and THEN you came over here, apparently just to flame. Bummer. I guess this forum will go the way of our society now, everyone pissed and using social media to throw others down. I’m disappointed.

Yep....aka...mall crawlers built to the max and never see dirt. Folks on a budget, like me, I try to get the best bang for the buck for my use. Things happen. CaliRaised is an approved vendor. Issue is out there. Let them respond.

Yes, the whole forum (and society) is ruined because someone posted a vendor review in the vendor review forum. L O L

Your post doesn’t read like a vendor review. It reads like flame-out whining. And I can’t see any course for resolution.

But I’m sure it’ll get more entertaining, so there’s that….

There are two sides to every story. Before anyone here claims an approved vendor here "sucks", don't you think the vendor should be able to respond?

I dislike whining too. It's one thing to rant but to outright slam an approved vendor here isn't cool. I say......pics and vids or it didn't happen.....
