    Hi,

So I believe I need to change the brake lines with a lift. Searching around this forum seemed like the options were crown and goodridge.

Seemed like those ones are out of stock everywhere I looked. Has anyone used the powerstop ones? Is there another that can be used?

BTW this is for a 2004 DC 4WD going for a 2'' lift.

I've used Powerstop brake with Stoptech brake lines on my Tundra, Tacoma and Corvette. They're nice and I recommend them.

    Imma keep it stock
2" lift will not require replacement of brake lines. I'm at 3" and still running OEM hard and soft lines. The only real thing you'll want to look at is the LSPV relocation.

Crap forgot about that. Just ordered the relocation kit.

Still MAY swap the lines so anymore suggestions are welcome.

Hell yeaaaa for the C5. Mine’s a base too, 1998 with 43k miles. I’m jealous of your hard top and those wheels

I wouldn't be surprised if the 2nd gens also use M10x1.0 fittings. Maybe you could use the one for the line that goes from your frame to the tee at the center of the axle (what I use mine for).

First gens just have hard lines that go straight into the drum brakes. You'll need a different kit for the hard lines to the rear calipers with banjo fittings.

I have 2” lift. I did not need new brake lines. I will probably eventually install new extended braided lines but it wasn’t necessary FWIW.

Sick thanks y’all for the info.

Sounds like some savings here since I’ll probably have to get lower control arms.

Have you read the Suspension and wheels section of this thread yet? It’ll answer a lot of what you need and need to consider when lifting, plus what to expect from various options.

Also some safe/unsafe replacement part brands over here.
