So now, We drove the runner off the trail, parked it at a turn off and headed to the hospital. Got a text from Chris that he was home when I got reception again, and I told him what had happened. He instantly said he'd drive his happy ass back up here to tow it home for me. I declined because that would be a 7hour round trip for him. Ended up texting another wheeling guy who said he would and drove right to the hospital to get my keys. I can't say I know this guy very well personally but he was wheeling buddy of a master tech at my old dealership. and honestly it was a shot in the dark asking him. But He came through. And I said I owed him. He responded by telling me to pay it forward. I swear, some people are truly awesome.

I've been though a lot in my 42 years. Not all great, but plenty of stellar. The thing I've learned along the way is that when the ships going down you only have the people around you...and those experiences live for a long time. Those of us that have been through the ringer and lived to tell about it have a certain dedication to those in need. We all need help once in a while and true colors shine bright when the seas get rough. Trust in those that offer assistance, take it, and pay it forward when the opportunity presents itself. Built in karma is good to have when YOU need it.

My therapist told me to find some good people to invest my time in to take the sting of the divorce away and that's what I'm planning.

Also, the guy that trail patched me up, cleaned and wrapped me up was a guy I met may be 20 minutes earlier when I was doing this tried to get up another play rock and ended up denting the rear drive shaft. After I got pulled off i took off and flipped it.

FYI, I went through a divorce several years ago, and let it nearly ruin me. But, I managed to get through it, later met my now wife, whom I finally married last year at 41 after years of dating, and my life couldn't be better.

Life always grows richest in places that once burnt down.
