Ordered a set and they arrived last week. My passenger side mirror hits the door when folded.

    Manual or power fold?

Mine are manual folds and do not contact the body. They do however shake more than I would like, and I need to see if BAP has any suggestions.

Seems to be the trend unless I'm mistaken.

I hope they can (re)implement a fix quickly and get yall taken care of.

That's so wild. I've had two sets of these mirrors (first set had a BSM issue), both sets are power folding, and neither comes close to hitting the door.

This is what Walter from Boost Auto told me the other day concerning their mirrors.

"Upon thorough review, we have determined the root cause of your concern to be a misaligned stop bracket within the Power Folding mechanism.
Unfortunately, this is not isolated to just your mirrors, and is common across our current inventory of Power Folding mirrors for the 2007-2021 Tundra trucks.
To clarify, the mirrors we offered in the past did not exhibit this and it has only recently been discovered in our current production batch.
We are confident this issue only impacts a few recent orders.
As such, we know another replacement set of mirrors will not resolve your concerns.
Our team is diligently working on a solution to resolve the misaligned internal stop bracket, but we do not have an ETA for a fix at this time.
While I share the disappointment and understand the inconvenience this has caused you, at this time, I can only offer to have you return the set of mirrors for a full refund."

Hey everyone. I thought for sure I had already updated this thread a long time ago, but it appears not. Adam from boost auto originally sent me a a stop bracket that I asked for to modify while they are engineered the passenger side mirror issue. After nearly a year he followed up in an email letting me know the new design was now in production. They promptly sent me a replacement set that I installed and have been running on my truck since. I have been very pleased with these mirrors and that original issue of hitting the door is the only complaint I've ever had about them, and it's been corrected. I have nearly zero shake on the road, no more than OEM mirrors had. I highly recommend the units, and also think that Boost customer service was definitely interested in helping improve their product and customer experience. These are the manual mirrors for those of you who have asked.

I'd send an email. Sounds possible you may have received one of the original designs.

Thank you for the update. This is on the list when they do a sale later this year. It is hella expensive, but worth it if this issue is truly taken care of.

So it is maybe safe to order from them now?

If we start pulling a camper with this truck, these mirrors are first on the list.

I would, and if you have issues let them know so they can fix it. Now that they understand their issue, should be a quick turn around to get resolution.

I've had my BAP mirrors for a couple years now. I actually like them more and more over time.

I’m about to order a set with their 30% off sale going on right now. Hopefully mine won’t have any issues.

30% discount is really healthy, I think previous the best we have seen is 25% and that's a lot already.
    Good luck!

Would anyone by chance be able to confirm if these are plug and play? I’m looking to get them in manual folding because I don’t want to deal with the extra work doing the auto folding. If anything I may just add sequential signals. With the turn signals, the TRD Pro did not come equipped with any mirror lights so would that be something I’d have to tap wires for?

Boost is plug and play and the turn signals will work even though stock mirrors don't have a signal (the harness is wired for it already, so no extra work on you). You would only have to run wires for the "reverse" light or the power fold, their YouTube videos have good instruction and if you are going to have to run the wire for the reverse, you might as well add the power fold too.

Thanks for the info. To me the added turn signals would be worth it alone. Do you by chance know if the paintable versions come with some kind of shell you can take to get painted or would I have to take the entire side mirror to a paint shop?

The caps for the paintable version came un-installed in separate packaging. So it would be easy to just take those to get painted. They just snap into place so if you install them and then get them painted, it would be easy to pull the caps off. I've had no issue with them coming off and its been 2 years (I think, its a blurr). I love the mirrors and like that it puts a turn signal on the front of the mirror and in the glass, and the added wide angle lense really helps with your blind spots. I have soo much more awareness with these mirrors. Love them.

I painted my caps in my garage.

There’s also a turn signal in the mirror? That’s awesome and I did not realize that.
