@markman03 @Dirt Ferguson same deal here. 2019, the call drops from bluetooth after a couple minutes and sometimes drops the call from the phone too. Any fixes yet? So lame...

I ended up getting an iPhone 12 and the problem is gone. I can talk now for as long as I need to.

Hey everyone, any luck with this issue? Is iPhone 12 the only fix? My system drops bluetooth in the middle of calls too. I also have weird problem when I use my turn signal my headlights and dash lights go completely out. It's intermittent. Just not what I expect from an otherwise good truck.

I expect this is about factory bluetooth, cause my kenwood bluetooth is pretty good. The only problem I have with bluetooth is sometimes the headunit won t upload my contacts from my phone although it always gets contacts from my call log.

Same issue as described by everyone else... will be on a call and then Bluetooth cuts out and I have to switch to speaker phone. iPhone XS.

Any updates from anyone else's experiences?

I have an iPhone 12+ or Max Pro or whatever, and I never experienced this until yesterday, and it happened twice. I wonder if the recent update and maybe some older iOS versions have caused this? It also happens with my AirPods Pros on occasion and didn’t use to, and the iOS was updated last week.

My truck is the only place I have the issue really. They all can happen from time to time. I have a plantronics voyager legend headset I use for work and it will cut out/loose connection on occasion, but nothing as consistently and annoying as the truck.

One thing I've started doing is first turning off the truck bloutooth by going to fm or am radio, then fire up my headset for use when I have an important call or need to talk uninterrupted for a while. And I have to say, I have no issues listening to music using the tundra's bluetooth, it's pretty stable....problems there might tick me off even more lol.

iPhone XR...on calls mine will cut out completely, then the head unit turns completely off and back on (sometimes multiple times). I don't even use it for call anymore. Looking to get a new Kenwood or Alpine HU. Just have to figure out which built-in NAV is better (maps updates).

wow - i know this thread is old, but need some information please.

I deliver Amazon part-time ( 3 or 4 times a week) and use Bluetooth connection so i can hear the turn by turn nav thru the speakers better

Over the last couple weeks my Bluetooth connection will randomly drop and will either have to stop and start the connection at the phone
or try and connect all from the HU. When neither of those two work, I shut off the truck and re-start it and it will connect.

I have an Android phone, its an LG V30ThinQ. I already know its old and LG doesnt make phones any longer nor do they supply updates.
Still get updates from Verizon however. But it works, so I think. No other issues with the phone and it looks brand new.
Im old and cant justify a new phone just for the sake of getting a new phone.

    Phone: LGVS996
    Software: Android 9 (VS99630d)
    Truck: 2016 Tundra SR5 - non JBL/Non NAV - Factory HU

Can someone tell me what the latest software version is for the HU?
I can check that against mine to see if its up-to-date.
No other issues with the HU, that I can see.

    Thanks In Advance

Update: the following link no longer works

But this one does - https://www.toyota.com/firmware-updates
my HU model id is - 13TDDANA-DA10

According to the link above that works, there is an update available, released on Sept 8 2017 and after the update the Audio version will be set to 01016E.

My current Audio version is: 01017B ! Does this mean i actually have a newer update that whats available on the website link (01016E)?
