@Bannock452 some of the pictures are from my iPhone 6s but the sharper pictures are from my Sony a6000 with a 16mm 2.8 prime lens. It's a great camera setup.

Can't wait to see the wheels, all of them, on the truck..

Is it me or does it seem a bit nose up?

Im uploading some pics I just took tonight.. will be up soon! Stand By.

It looks like the nose is higher, but not by measurement.. The rear was 1/4" higher when I measured it. Im still waiting for the suspension to settle and I will take new measurements.

I gained 3" lift up front and 1.5" in rear so it has more rake than a TRD PRO still.. It does look nose high for some reason though...

So I finally got my wheels + tires + alignment in today.

Wheels : FN BFD Wheels 18x9+12 Gunmetal (weighed 22.5lbs on my bathroom scale)
    Tires : Falken Wildpeak AT3 305/65R18
Suspension : LRO 3" front spacer - CB +3 Shackles (1.5" of lift)

These wheels/tire combo took very little weights to balance them! I was surprised.
    • Wheel 1 - 3oz
    • Wheel 2 - 1.5oz
    • Wheel 3 - 1oz
    • Wheel 4 - NOTHING!
Got them installed at my usual spot @ Auto Innovations.

    1st impressions :

So my biggest concern was rubbing.. well my tires does slightly come in contact with both my front liner & rear mud flap(this is with the front flap removed already). I will work on trimming the plastics so hopefully I can get full motion without contact.

I don't feel much power loss with this setup. These wheels are pretty light(one of the reasons I chose them) so that may have a big impact on the feel. So far the tires are smooth and quiet. The ride actually got more comfortable compared to my stock 20's. It soaks up bumps much better due to the bigger tire I'm sure.

I wasn't sure how the gunmetal would look on magnetic gray, but it looks better then I thought. It doesn't match perfectly but it doesn't clash either.

I'm glad I went with 305/65R18's instead of 275/70R18. This tire sits really good on this wheel size. Also fills the well pretty good.

295/70 is almost 1" taller but 1/2" narrower. Im guessing it will fit very similar. A lot of people run that size. I just chose 305 because the tire I wanted was in that size.

Looking damn good. It looked a little nose high right after lift but with the new wheels I think it looks perfectly level.

    Liner clearance mod

So ... after driving the truck for a day, I realized I was rubbing everywhere especially when turning the wheel & reversing. I could not find a DIY for 14+ trucks which has a different liner from the earlier years. So I though I would take some pictures as I trimmed & adjusted the liner. I was also rubbing on the rear mud flaps but not as bad as the front. I removed the rear flaps for now and will trim it at a later time.

Here is where I was rubbing with my setup. Keep in mind everyone's setup will rub at a different spot depending on tire size, lift and wheel offset. (this is with the front flap already removed)
    AD4FB0D7-1842-4CD4-BB27-5B3241BBCFEC_zps_437c58e2a5b7f539038c2694cbff1ded8d22451d.jpg

Here is the front liner removed showing what I cut. I used a dremel to cut it so it would be quick and clean. This renders the two bottom screws useless but the rest of the screws are sufficient to hold the liner in place.
    15EC9970-E4CD-42D3-A0F7-490D23BB8374_zps_a76be7bfa5dee17800591fd804dae2b4c0fd8ff6.jpg
    52433F5C-8322-49EC-A826-65DA644EC04F_zps_e99a8bd1448a101ea4487f210848b9fdf331347e.jpg

Here is the panel re-installed in the truck. I cut a little too much, if I were to do it again, I could have cut less.
    B4CD3B22-31A3-46CF-84E5-DECA04D8CB6C_zps_b758b4214b6859db4de88ca2f12d255cb45963df.jpg

This shows the bottom of the liner and how I used the 2 screws(1 silver, 1 black) to secure the bottom. I drilled a new hole for the black one almost an inch back to push the liner forward away from the tires. I used the washer for the silver big screw to hold the liner.
    33C684D8-4287-48DC-A304-C87A5BCCC361_zps_9ae52b6f3b90c0a5c0928abdd0f54afb85bf998c.jpg

    Here is my new clearance
    45BBFF43-398B-4313-BC77-424EDCB8BFB9_zps_2484d57777f0b7a1e24e6d63ccdc3a8506bf249e.jpg

I was also rubbing on the rear mud flaps with my wheel turned.
    56732852-EF70-411F-99FB-441803FB7F14_zps_fc7affd770ed66be874f470ffe5be82caff2ad01.jpg

I just removed it for now until I figure how to trim it.
    8FBE6F58-7DE8-419B-BE66-77FFB8C1358B_zps_4516d1824d3f84b970e7a61383f6bc6b5d0a3e24.jpg

This also shows how close it is to the cab mount. For those that is wondering how much clearance you would have with this setup.
    C8C34718-ED08-4AD0-98E6-D57D199DEC32_zps_17d273d930ba8e00df1f85ba5d7c7ef398ef2a49.jpg

Now you are done with 1 side & just repeat on the other.

I test drove it trying to make it rub and now I do NOT rub at all. backing up full turn on a hill, u-turns, lock to lock, no rubbing at all with this setup! So for those that are wondering how much work it takes to clear 33's with low offset wheels, it took me 20 minutes to do both sides!

*credit to @Tacogeuse for this mod.

i ended up needing to trim about the same as you did for my front plastic piece. And I definitely trimmed quite a bit of metal fender on the rear and did the CMC so I could fit my 35s with barley 2" of lift. I hated cutting so much but now you can't tell and I got the clearance with no rubbing off-road exactly how I wanted so I'm happy.

So I wanted to put my rear flaps back on since its been raining here lately. I cut a square where I was seeing rub marks so I was still able to retain all the bolts holding down the flap.

I didn't get a chance to drive it yet to make sure it is enough clearance. I will check back in once I test it.

Im looking into possibly getting some flares to add some coverage on my tires. I was thinking of getting some oem or oem style flares. I saw some oem style extended flares? Any thoughts on what flares I should get?

I am still slightly rubbing on my flap I believe. Not enough to do anything about it for now but I'm sure if I cut off the inner part of that flap it would be gone.

Anyway here's 1 more pic just cause I have her a bath!

Not my camera but the last interior picture was taken with a Sony ILCE-6000, f/2.8 lens, ISO speed 800, focal length 16.0mm and no flash. That info is contained in the metafile of the image posted. Camera around around $700 at Best Buy or Amazon and probably a dozen others.

Thank you Mike! I appreciate the info! I didn't know you can look at the photo specs in or on this forum. Good to know though for future!

I recently purchased the sony a6300 too and have been playing with new lenses and settings! So far I love the camera and the 4k video is unreal!

Nice. I highly recommend getting the 16mm 2.8 lens and 50mm 1.8. Really brings out the best out the camera.

Thanks! I need to get rid of the chrome in my headlamps. When I do my retro that chrome will be gone.

Thanks! I replied to the other thread. I deleted my entune app and re paired my phone. Haven't had an issue so far.

*update* I ordered a set of bushwhackers extend a fender. Should get t next week. Hoping to cover my tires sticking out of the body. Truck gets crap from the tires too easily with the tires sticking out.

I just ordered the same antenna you have. The stock wire hangar thingy just looks ridiculous.

You will like it.. I have taken it through drive thru car washes and its fine unlike the oem. Also my FM signal is still pretty good but keep in mind I live in the metro area.
