Well the total cost was $548 which i payed because toyota only told them it was a pcv valve. So i got home and called the warranty place who then called toyota and now $348 is on them. I added the throttle body cleaning plus i have to pay for the $7 for the pcv lol but the rest is all warranty.

I have been getting blue exhaust smoke on cold starts. Not everyday, but most. Truck is 2016 5.7 FFV, has 63,XXX miles, and has been maintained by toyota for all service. I took the truck into toyota and they told me it was normal and could not duplicate. I replaced the PCV valve and that did not make any difference. Old pcv valve seemed as if it were functioning just as the new. I asked toyota about a TSB or an update and they said that they do not have any updates for it. I researched oil separator and I am not sure If I can tackle intake removal on my own to install. Truck seems to start and run with no problems. Has anyone besides Darkknight201 gotten resolution from replacing the PCV and Oil separator both?

Had the same issue and replaced the valve with no luck. What fixed it for me was changing the oil a few times.

What brand and weight did you change to? And what oil were you running when it was smoking?

They changed my oil again today while they did the check on my exhaust blue smoke that they could not duplicate. They are using the synthetic oil for mine.

Maybe I need to not worry and it will work itself out on its own as Norfolk757 mentioned.

The issue with mine was the truck was traded in to a domestic truck dealer and those geniuses changed the oil with regular conventional service. After going crazy and changing the valve it was an OEM oil change that fixed my issue. I had to have my engine oil flushed as well.
