Sorry took so long, forgot to take these for ya.

Got a little chip in the cup surround paint at some point.

Not a dumb question - the parts site pictures suck. That is indeed the entire assembly - both sides, switches and trim.
The 84250-0C100 part is the TUNDRA steering wheel switch/trim assembly, and the -C0 designates the color option. -B0 would get you Silver trim.

Ok so like a crazy man, I bought a whole new assembly in black. I wasn’t thrilled with the whole repaint job. Just got done swapping it out and the new one is in place. I wanted to thank you guys again for answering questions and for the help! That part was in fact the whole assembly and dropped right in. Now I’m happy.

I want to actually offer the first assembly for sale on here but I’m too new of a member. I figure someone may want to take the time to repaint or wrap the trim. The assembly works flawlessly and it’s plug n play, just needs new paint/wrap.

Anyway thank you guys again. It’s just money right?

yes. Just installed them a half hour ago. Exact buttons and fit as Roman states. Has to be a 2018 or newer though for the pre-crash buttons (I think).

What are the chances the 2018+ radio controls are wired the same as the 2014-2017, with the exception of the pre crash buttons?

Sundog that might be a question for the dealer. My guess would be yes, the pre crash buttons just wouldn’t do anything when pressed. But, I think you’d want to check with a dealer, especially because the air bag is tied in there too. Err on the side of caution.

Here’s pics of the assembly I removed. As mentioned this is the original assembly when the truck was purchased, so the trim was silver. I painted the trim pieces black and you can see in these pics it’s not horrid, but I knew it was there. Also where my legs/pants would rub the bottom and rub paint off.....C17445A3-D9FA-4D0C-9899-8D7FDAF2AF52.jpgA485CAF2-B361-4BE0-B7E9-31C669080FA9.jpgEDAE9DCD-A413-4785-9F92-F8128469FF73.jpg3DA5C7E6-5C02-4AE1-99F2-3716E38E2E6A.jpg

If that is the case, they would work, that would be awesome for anyone not wanting the gloss of the 4runner switch surrounds.

I’d be happy to sell these, but I’m new to the forum and understand I need a 50 post minimum to sell on the site. I am really enjoying this forum with all of the friendly, knowledgeable people I’ve spoken with, I don’t want to break the rules.

I’ll just hang on to them and keep posting stuff until I hit 50. Then I’ll list them!

Do you think you would like the ones you had painted more if they had been professionally painted (hardened)?

Totally Sundog. If I had painted them better, or it was professionally done I would have never removed them again. Because I’m so picky (and found a deal/had the money) I purchased a new assembly in black from the dealer and replaced it. The pieces pictured can be stripped and repainted Or wrapped I’m sure, but I don’t have the time nor the patience or painting skills to re-do it.

I’m completely happy now with the new assembly as it is an OEM part painted by the dealer. I paid $389 for the new assembly.

Wow the camera picks up every little spec of dust. These are brand new and flawless. The white specs are dust.

You can pull down the wiring diagrams and do some chasing of the buttons through the different diagrams to confirm pin-outs and connectors. I could see potentially that the arrangement of the pins could change, or that they had to go do a different connector to accommodate the added buttons, but not sure.

Indeed. Matte black. Hoping they don’t scuff on the bottom. Need to be careful the seat belt buckle doesn’t strike them either when taking the belt off.

Appreciate you posting you experiences and pics...there should be no problem with wear in those. We have Sequoia TRD Sport (all black interior with very minimal pewter trim) and it’s fine. Now I want my tundra all black!

The new parts have held up great. No scuffing on the bottom at all. This was Feb of this year, now it’s almost Dec and they still look great. Still have to be conscious of the seat belt and not “flinging” it when taking it off so it doesn’t strike the wheel or the assembly though. Happy Thanksgiving!

I’ll give someone $100 for their original controls if they are compatible with a 2016 Tundra TRD Pro. There’s a scratch on my volume button and I hate it. It’ll take some of the pain out of the oem black ones.

Anybody know if there is a matte black OEM version of this, and what the part # is (for 2015 CrewMax Platinum)? I prefer matte black instead of the gloss black from the 4Runner, and the matte black shown in this thread won't work, as I don't have the extra buttons on the right side....

Get the ones from AJT. Matte black. Not OEM, but the same quality.

Yes, good option for sure, thanks for the reminder. Would rather have OEM because AJT has the extra button holes on right side and personally, I prefer not to have the AJT blanks to fill those holes
