Can you fit 33x12.50 wide tires with a 2.5” lift? Can anyone answer that one? Would really like to see if anyone has that set up. Thanks guys

And anyone know best place to buy a front strut bar for a 2013?

What's a strut bar? Also, Tundras have coil overs, technically not struts.
If you're asking about a coil bucket brace to brace the tops of the coil overs, there are some people working on creating one. LSK has one for their Race Kit.

Are you looking for the standard swaybar that comes on all Tundras or the (red) TRD Pro swaybar? Coolsprings Toyota or Sparks Parts is a good online option. Swaybars are large to ship so if you are a Costco member, you can get a 15% off coupon for parts & service from a local participating dealership. https://www.costco.com/auto-program-parts-services.html

    Thanks SprinterAE86, Nice looking turck!
Are you running stock UCA?, are the spacers in the coils or does it sit on top of assembly.
Did you have to do BMC?

Tuff country 2" level kit, 5100 bottom setting. 18x9 +12 w/ 295.70.18 Stock UCA, no BMC. Mud guard delete and front flap. Shim bumper 1/2" forward and move bumper trim forward. Still a slight rub on driver side body mount on reverse at full crank.

18x9 +25 or +18 should not have any body mount rubbing. Still have to remove three mud guards and shim bumper.

Curious on why you did this along with the spacer, wouldn't it be better to just have the 5100's on the highest setting and ditch the block?

With the 2" leveling on top of the 5100 you might have to look at extending the bump stops more than just the washers that came with the 5100s. Those washers are sufficient for the 5100s only, but if you add the spacer you might bottom out and damage your shocks.

I bought the spacer before the shocks. Since I have it already, I installed it. I'll be upgrading my springs soon and it will go to the oem to be used as a reassembled spare to bring with me for my cross country trip next year.

How do you like the ride quality of the 5100s? I found mine to be a bit stiff, my gf says the same thing, so then i had to go back to stock suspension and i shimmed a 1" block in the front shock and it was more comfortable.

    Rear is 5100’s, no lift.
I have just about 0.5” of rake but it looks level, which is what I wanted.

Wow. Info overload. A lot of great info here. I’m 1 1/2 weeks into my first Tundra (2021 Platinum).

I do want to level it and wonder if anyone has advice on my specific needs.

    1) RIDE QUALITY - this will be my daily driver. I also have 2 kiddos still in car seats so this is also our road trip vehicle. I’m to a point that I enjoy comfort.

    2) CAMPER - I currently pull a 2500lb pop up camper, only 10 times a year. Usually less than 5 hours each way. I doubt I’ll get a bigger one in the future but who know.

    3) OFF ROAD - I don’t ‘wheel’ often but I do go on some fairly rocky roads a few times a year to explore, fish, camp, etc. Not often but I definitely wouldn’t take our Outback on these roads.

    4) just a reminder that ride quality is #1

    current considerations
    - Bilstein 5100 at middle setting
    - Bilstein 6112 at ______ setting

Figured I would add my experience to this thread, since I used it before I raised my truck.

    2021 TRD Sport
Bilstein 5100s on the top setting.
The rear is 1/4" lower than the front. This picture is stock rear, but I've ordered Coachbuilder +2 shackles to raise the rear.

Having 5100's installed on a 2015 CM Platinum. Shop said the highest setting was compressing the factory springs too much. Anyone else have reports of this? I put matching 5100's on the rear already.

Ok. Between the sloped surfaces, different size tires and other modifications the photos of the front lift are all over the map.

21 SR5 stock CrewMax. Is it the 5100's on the middle or top section that levels things out with NO other items added or removed?

I have 5100’s set on the middle setting. The truck looks leveled, but the rear is 1.5” higher (measured from the ground to the top of the wheel well). My truck looks like r1-superstars except green. Middle setting is the way to go IMO.

Do you have to get anything else that doesn’t come with the shocks for a shop to install them?

Nothing else was needed. 5100's use your stock coils so the shop will take your stock springs and top hats to assemble the fronts. They would use the stock bushings from the rear to install 5100s on the rear corners.

Do 6112’s or 5100’s ride better? (I will be using the lowest height setting)

FYI I installed 5100s on the front of my 2011 at the highest setting. truck is now level with no load in the bed. No problems with original springs, ride might be a little stiffer than OEM. I installed them because I use a Fisher plow and the original rake on the truck screwed up the plow geometry. Was a pretty easy install although I have a good spring compressor and lift in my shop.

Stock for now, but have TRD Rear Sway bar for it.
Honestly, it depends on what you want and what you will be doing with the truck. I have had 5100s in the middle setting, and they are great. For my 85% on the road and 15% light off-roading, they were all I ever needed. My friend has 6112, and he loves them, but he is doing heavy off-roading every weekend and is also waiting for the long travel Icon system. 5100's are probably the best shock for 90% of the readers here, but if you want 6112, buy them. You shouldn't regret it, ever, and if you do, you can sell them here quickly and buy 5100s.
