Thanks Carl! Any suggestion of using the 18" factory Wheels with 33 or 35'a - might even go with 34's

I am not the guy to talk to as I want to wear out my 275/65s first. But when they do wear out, I will probably just go with 285/70’s as long as I am towing an 8,000 trailer.

Yeah I think the middle is going to work best for me.

The consensus is that 2" and under on the front does not require any additional spacers/diff drop. The TRD Pro comes factory with about 2" up front and Toyota makes no additional changes to suspension or otherwise beyond the shocks

Thanks Jimbo for the info! Makes sense why they use a spacer on 3” leveling lift. Lot of guys using the middle setting and I think I’ll do the same to avoid mechanical issues. Especially for what I tow.

    None YET
Are you guys doing your own install on the 5100's? I did mine on my Tacoma in my garage by doing the following. Hopefully will work on the Tundra too:

    - Jack up truck / put on jack stand (think I kept it on the jack and used 2nd jack for 2nd step)
    - Put a jack under LCA and jack up enough to compress spring and take pressure off of shock
    - unbolt shock from the top and then slowly lower the jack under LCA
    - would have to then loosen the frame > UCA bolts to get it to go down far enough to remove spring / shock. (mark alignment first to get back close when re-assembling)

    - do reverse to install
    - go directly to alignment shop! :)

I did mine on the middle setting with a Coachbuilder shim on each side. It’s not exactly level but I love how it looks. I need to get some straight on side pics too.

I have installed them both ways, taken the assembly out and then used a spring compressor and the method you described above, only issue I had with the method above was on the middle setting the spring was a little tall to get back under the perch, doable but took some work.

Phog .. what do you think about the steering kit? I did almost exact same setup as you, except I went top setting for fronts w/same shims, and did +3 shackles in back. This leaves me visually level with exactly 1” rake from center hub measure and no tundra lean with the shims. Spoke with David on the phone and he said not necessary for the steering kit with this setup. You getting any creaking over uneven driving? ie driveways at angle from the road etc etc
